NEED ADVICE! Which roof and siding combo?

I would like to use light gray vinyl siding. I’m considering Certainteed Weathered Wood roof shingles. Opinions on this combination?

I could do Moire Black or Charcoal roof but thought of doing something a bit different.

Windows will be replaced with white ones with wide trim. The double window will be replaced with a picture window. Possibly no shutters. Door color will change.

Portico will be added over door to add architectural interest —see below —

You cant ever go wrong with a charcoal colored roof. Its very versatile. It will also look great with your gray vinyl siding.

Context is key. Much more goes into colors of siding and roof than just the siding and the roof. Post up pics of your home for any real advice.

Beige windows will make the Gray Siding about impossible. Brown or Weathered Wood are pretty much your roofing choices and something in the brown, and maybe green for the siding.

Many good suggestions here. I gathered a few inspirational photos for you. Your roof color is most important because there are fewer choices. Once that is decided, then it’s easier to select siding colors. With wide white trim on windows means eliminating the shutters since you can’t get them mounted right for easy use and an authentic look. If you want light gray siding, consider a lighter roof too. This will help left the look of the height of the house. Then some updated landscaping will create great new curb appeal.
