I especially like the "dessert island." Many people misspell this term.

For example, a "desert island" is an island that is a desert and has little rainfall and few plants, but it can still have people, although generally not very many. Some of the Galapagos Islands are deserts. Only four of the Galapagos Islands are inhabited, and the rest are deserted, if you do not count wildlife.

A "deserted island" has no people, but it can have plenty of plants and rainfall, although it can also be a desert, like some of the Galapagos.
