On another dilemma someone said they use rubbing alcohol 50/50 with water and others said "It works beautifully".

Stainless Steel Magic. Best ever. I felt like you when i first got a stainless refrigerator. Follow the directions on can, then repeat. Always use two separate cotton cloths, one to apply and one to buff. And always wipe along the "grain"-probably side to side, never circular or haphazardly. You should be able to get away with doing it once a week. Worth the time and effort. Discovered this two refrigerators ago.

Something in the Stainless Steel Magic also seems to moisturize and repel further marks. The alcohol/water combo sounds tempting, but that would certainly undo the finish I've built up and like.

Just tried alcohol and water. Leaves water spots. So you would have to buff anyway. Guess I'll stick with the "Magic". bTW. Alcohol and water mixed 50/50 is great on anything glass.

I just realized that we now use Pledge Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner on stainless and it works great!

I use Pledge Dust and Allergen. Stainless Steel Magic works well, but seems to build up over time and once you use it, you can't go back to water.

I use Perfect Stainless from Bed, Bath and Beyond to clean. If you have water drip marks that don't come out, use Barkeepers Friend or silver polish. I follow up with a coating of WD-40. Spray it into a paper towel, not directly on the appliance. Wipe and then buff with a soft cloth. It takes less than five minutes. This provides a protective coating that lasts for about 2 weeks. During that time, if you notice finger marks, etc., just buff and they're gone. I use the WD-40 on all my satin nickel faucets as well and it prevents water marks for weeks. Then I just re- apply.
Just did this frig today. Look at the shine and it's finger mark free!
