I painted 1969 brick fireplace, heath, mantel, white. It runs floor to ceiling. 2 ft. drywall on each side. Also, how wd you get flat screen up on mantel, without cords exposed? I guess I cd have drywall installed above mantel so cords cd be hidden. Tempted to forget the fireplace, drywall the whole thing out, making room 10x17 1/2 ft and stick flat screen on wall. Never use fireplace, but for resale purposes . . . .? (No other place in this 10 x 20 fr room for flat screen.) I used sectional, dividing room into smaller living area facing fireplace, with rest of room basically entryway from outdoor living area
