Is it OK to use recessed lights over the vanity?

I love the idea, but wonder if they are proper for makeup application?

I think it's fine as long as the lights are not behind you, casting back shadows. We often layer lighting if makeup application is a clients requirement. These mirrors are great: electricmirror.com and cast a very pleasing glow.
