I like to call it our 'floating bed'. We created a small but solid and steady box for the base and built a platform on top (all out of MDF) so the bed is solid and does not tip. It looks great and it deceives the eye to make the room feel bigger because you see more floor under the bed. We love the look and will definitely use it again!
