Lisa Friedl kitchen
So interesting how the breakfast table lies perpendicular to the island, even in view of the formal dining area. I really love the open floor plan with the consistent design over the entire space, especially those arched walls. Absolutely beautiful. Should we be thinking about moving the kitchen to the end of the space instead of the middle? So interesting that the flooring is rotated 90 degrees in the dining area.
I love, love, love how expansive this design is. The flooring connects all three rooms, and more important, the ceiling paneling connects kitchen to den. It makes me wonder if we should rethink the layout of dining/kitchen/den, and even the patio area. I also love how the paneling on the island mirrors the ceiling.
The row of small glass-front cabinets, and the display shelf on the oven hood
I like the framing from kitchen to den
Love the artwork on backsplash, bronze panels
grey stone would go well with our light granite
back tile
wood cabinets
Lots of windows
sloping roof
built-out bookcases, recessed fireplaces
I do like how the fireplace wall has been given its own vertical space to the ceiling. Lends height to the room. Also allows for deeper hearth. For us, the fireplace would be more recessed, as it's already built into the wall.
