A Vote for the Cable Stitch in Home Decor
Warm Up a Room With the Look, Feel and Memories of Knitting
The older I get the more I am drawn to things of my past and the more I try to incorporate them into my present. The art of knitting was one of the first crafts my mother introduced me to as a child, partially to occupy my time as a chatty, curious little girl and to also help me appreciate the work of my hands.
I was in grade school the last time I held a pair of knitting needles; viewing these spaces featuring cable knitted toss pillows and throws takes me back to that simpler time. Funny how one image can flood your mind with the sweetest memories and cause you to frantically search for more to keep those happy feelings alive.
Whereas I was once knitting scarves for myself and clothes for my dolls, my interest has now turned to knit accessories for the home. I'm grateful for this ideabook and for yet another opportunity to enjoy knitting — this time in my home's decor.
