We discovered the original Aixoise Mantel, originally carved in French Limestone, near Lyon, France. This circa 1750 mantel has a Louis XV appeal, featuring a prominent 'brow' or ' Boudin' along the edge of the lintel. The deep concave carving on the outer legs finishes this exquisite mantelpiece.
