Modern Home Interiors and Exteriors, featuring clean lines, textures, colors and simple design with floor to ceiling windows. Hardwood, slate, and porcelain floors, all natural materials that give a sense of warmth throughout the spaces. Some homes have steel exposed beams and monolith concrete and galvanized steel walls to give a sense of weight and coolness in these very hot, sunny Southern California locations. Kitchens feature built in appliances, and glass backsplashes. Living rooms have contemporary style fireplaces and custom upholstery for the most comfort. Bedroom headboards are upholstered, with most master bedrooms having modern wall fireplaces surounded by large porcelain tiles. Project Locations: Ojai, Santa Barbara, Westlake, California. The details really make this space! The wood paneling on the wall makes the space feel very custom. The little ledge in front of the mirrors is another great little detail.

This 7,000 square foot space is a modern weekend getaway for a modern family of four. The owners were looking for a designer who could fuse their love of art and elegant furnishings with the practicality that would fit their lifestyle. They owned the land and wanted to build their new home from the ground up. Betty Wasserman Art & Interiors, Ltd. was a natural fit to make their vision a reality. Upon entering the house, you are immediately drawn to the clean, contemporary space that greets your eye. A curtain wall of glass with sliding doors, along the back of the house, allows everyone to enjoy the harbor views and a calming connection to the outdoors from any vantage point, simultaneously allowing watchful parents to keep an eye on the children in the pool while relaxing indoors. Icy, natural face quartz tile adds natural sparkle to this Powder Bath. Leuter countertop and hammered nickel sink balance the alternating pattern vein-cut marble floor.

The Master Bathroom includes a 2-sink vanity with wall-mounted faucets, freestanding tub and a spacious corner shower with dual-shower heads. Hardware is a mix of bronze and black, bringing that industrial look up to the second floor.
