What Houzz contributors are saying:
Kariouk calls the masonry box the "foundation of the family." The home sits above a river valley, and it's apparent from the outside that the upper floor captures the views through its large windows; the lower floor is predominantly solid.
1. House in Chelsea, QuebecThe exterior of this house in Quebec is made from industrial concrete blocks. But instead of a running bond or some other stacked pattern, Kariouk Associates composed the blocks into a pinwheel pattern. It makes the boxy exterior appear woven.
