The open kitchen great room floor plan is a great way for families to entertain and enjoy each others company. In this image, I saved the original cabinets and had them painted a soft mushroom tone while bringing in new appliances and designing a new oversized kitchen island in a rustic, stained, wood. The island provides additional seating, additional storage as well as a wine refrigerator, sink and dishwasher. The countertops are quartzite for look and durability and backsplash a stacked, hand glazed ceramic tile. The oversized light fixtures provide a lovely focal point and I just love the oversized look!
