White Dove is what I am planning on using!! It looks great!

I love this look! My 1890 home was restored inside, removing ALL the mouldings and having the plaster removed, which was in very bad shape. that enabled us to insulate the walls, which were not at all! The walls are new wallboard and ALL the moulding was stripped by my nephew who is a wood restorer, and then all put back in place. I've decided that we will keep them natural, and the walls will all be painted the white dove.. I love that white, it's soft, and creamy.

May I ask what wall color you used here? It's beautiful.

A similar color to try is Mosaic Glass 485 by Benjamin Moore.

I have seen those at flea markets. It is an old glove mold where several gloves could be made at once. It's now "art"!

I like what you did with your windows. I just remodeled my home and purchased replacement windows. to bring in more light.

Finally, don't be afraid to mix old and new — it can work beautifully. This staircase was probably once all dark wood, but painting the balustrades white and adding the white console table and sculptures really gave this Victorian hall a contemporary twist.

        3. Entryways and foyers can suffer from being forgotten and ignored — especially when we use side and back doors more often than our front entrances. Make your foyer into a little gallery of curiosities. While many of us may not use our front doors as much these days, we still walk through them to get upstairs, so make this space an experience rather than an afterthought.

Too much light/dark contrast makes the space choppy and smaller
