Although the tabletop profile presents curved sides, we wanted it to offer a contrasting, equally dynamic linear pattern that would juxtapose the base's sinuous forms. The stone top was bookmatched to create a chevron design that points to the room's main access.

A detached Edwardian villa set over three storeys, with the master suite on the top floor, four bedrooms (one en-suite) and family bathroom on the first floor and a sitting room, snug, cloakroom, utility, hall and kitchen-diner leading to the garden on the ground level.
With their children grown up and pursuing further education, the owners of this property wanted to turn their home into a sophisticated space the whole family could enjoy.
Although generously sized, it was a typical period property with a warren of dark rooms that didn’t suit modern life. The garden was awkward to access and some rooms rarely used. As avid foodies and cooks, the family wanted an open kitchen-dining area where the could entertain their friends, with plentiful storage and a connection to the garden.
Our design team reconfigured the ground floor and added a small rear and side extension to open the space for a huge kitchen and dining area, with a bank of Crittall windows leading to the garden (redesigned by Ruth Willmott).
Ultra-marine blue became the starting point for the kitchen and ground floor design – this fresh hue extends to the garden to unite indoors and outdoors.
Bespoke cabinetry designed by HUX London provides ample storage, and on one section beautiful fluted glass panels hide a TV. The cabinetry is complemented by a spectacular book-matched marble splash-back, and timber, parquet flooring, which extends throughout the ground floor.
The open kitchen area incorporates a glamorous dining table by Marcel Wanders, which the family use every day.
Now a snug, this was the darkest room with the least going for it architecturally. A cool and cosy space was created with elegant wall-panelling, a low corner sofa, stylish wall lamps and a wood-burning stove. It’s now ¬the family’s favourite room, as they gather here for movie nights.
The formal sitting room is an elegant space where the family plays music. A sumptuous teal sofa, a hand-knotted silk and wool rug and a vibrant abstract artwork bring a fresh feel.
This teenager’s bedroom with its taupe palette, luxurious finishes and study area has a grown-up vibe, and leads to a gorgeous marble-clad en-suite bathroom.
The couple now have their own dedicated study, with a streamlined double desk and bespoke cabinetry.
In the master suite, the sloping ceilings were maximised with bespoke wardrobes by HUX London, while a calming scheme was created with soft, neutral tones and rich textures.

Set within a classic 3 story townhouse in Clifton is this stunning ensuite bath and steam room. The brief called for understated luxury, a space to start the day right or relax after a long day. The space drops down from the master bedroom and had a large chimney breast giving challenges and opportunities to our designer. The result speaks for itself, a truly luxurious space with every need considered. His and hers sinks with a book-matched marble slab backdrop act as a dramatic feature revealed as you come down the steps. The steam room with wrap around bench has a built in sound system for the ultimate in relaxation while the freestanding egg bath, surrounded by atmospheric recess lighting, offers a warming embrace at the end of a long day.

The client wanted us to create a stunning unique luxurious marble bathroom for their master ensuit. In a large bathroom they wanted a large double vanity, a bath, a separate shower with a seat, wc & bidet.
After looking at different sample combinations we had offered, the client wanted us to come up with a design using Calacatta Ora marble and Honey Onyx.
Knowing how beautifully calacatta ora can be book matched we decided to create book-match each floor area, boarded by honey onyx,
We ran a honey onyx border around the walls at the same height as the vanity, when the border reached the vanity we created a mitred honey onyx vanity top with inset fabricated calacatta basins.
Above the vanity was a large mirror with a back-lit honey onyx frame, in order to avoid any shadows in the back-lighting from the fixings, the onyx frame was bonded to a bespoke glass frame, the fixing to the boxing that held the lighting were then hidden behind the mirror.
For such a large room a normal bath looked tiny so we opted for the bette spa bath, this is under-mounted in a mitred marble surround to give the appearance of the bath being encased in a giant block of stone. This was to be given the effect of floating by recessed mirror kicker plinth.
The wc & bidet are separated from the shower enclosure by a floor to ceiling shower screen, both opening into the main area, the cistern boxing continues into the shower area creating a shelf before dropping down to create a shower seat.
Book-matched panels to the walls as well as the floor meant every slab selection and every line of cut was overseen and chosen by the designer.
The result is a truly unique one of a kind bathroom.

Bathroom - contemporary master white tile and marble tile mosaic tile floor bathroom idea in London with flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, marble countertops, a one-piece toilet, an undermount sink and gray walls
Simon Taylor Furniture
This luxury en-suite bathroom project was a complete conversion and transformation of an existing spare bedroom into a luxurious bathroom space in Soulbury, Buckinghamshire.
The idea was to create an open plan, free flowing space including walk-through shower, free standing bath and twin sinks.
The bathroom also had to be in keeping with the existing bedroom which was recently decorated and with the overall theme of the house which is decorated primarily in shades of grey with rich timber elements.
The client also loved the look of the bookmatched marble shower enclosure in our Bierton show room but was concerned with the up keep of the stone. We were able to achieve everything the customer was looking for by using our own bespoke cabinetry combined with innovative porcelain marble effect tiles which could be bookmatched on the back wall.
The floor tiles are also in the same pattern but are anti-slip which allows the floor to run seamlessly into the shower area. The free standing bath, originally white, was hand-painted by our expert painter to mimic copper and pick up the colours of the walnut bath wall which also incorporates a thermostatic control and shower outlet for the bath.
The overall result is a dramatic, light, and open space. Perfect for spending hours relaxing in the bath or a refreshing shower under the waterfall shower head.
