Reico Kitchen & Bath
Linda Nielsen of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Millsboro, DE, collaborated with Damion Richards to design a stunning modern style inspired kitchen design that highlights cabinets from both Merillat Masterpiece and Merillat Classic.
The perimeter cabinets are designed in Merillat Masterpiece in the Epic door style with a Harbor Blue finish. The perimeter cabinets feature Merillat Classic in the Linielle door style with a Whisper finish. Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold is used for the kitchen countertops.
“We were thrilled with all our selections from Reico, but my favorite part of it all are the kitchen cabinets. Linda Nielsen was instrumental in the design process and great to work with," said the client.
According to Linda, "Working together with the clients was very rewarding and fun. They were very involved and excited about their project. Despite the unique space limitations, we prioritized both function and aesthetics, transitioning from a traditional style to a sleek modern look. The Linielle door, with its unique textured slab door, combined with the Epic door in Harbor Blue was just the right complement. Stacking the perimeter cabinets added vertical interest to the kitchen and drew the eye upward. Listening to their needs made all the difference."

With an outdated kitchen, the owners were in desperate need to change the look of their favorite section of the house. Our team started suggesting lighter colors for the cabinets, new hardware, and new fixtures including storage systems allowing efficient usage of the space. One of the highlights of the project was the stove section, where we added a beautiful porcelain tile for the backsplash and a brand new kitchen hood, that not only serve better in functionality but complemented the desired look of the kitchen. Finally, we add new pending lights on their freshly renovated kitchen island.

From the moment I walked into this Cherokee Park home, I loved all of the great character, but the homeowners were struggling with furniture placement and flow for all of the entertaining they do. The first thing we did was flip the Living Room and Dining Room. By doing so, we were able to add more seating and make the older home feel like an open concept. We centered our sofa in a neutral tweed fabric on the large wall and flanked it with two wing chairs. I love the fresh take on a wingback chair and adding height differences in the space. Instead of a coffee table, we added two ottomans in a putty leather for additional seating. We were even able to fit in a small accent chair next to the media console. We worked in a bar cart right next to the Kitchen. Since these old houses are situated close to their neighbors, we added woven shades under our vibrant floral drapery panels for privacy. We grounded our seating area with a geometric rug in a soft blue/green color. The walls are my favorite neutral, Sherwin Williams’ Balanced Beige (SW7037).
By flipping the functions of the two spaces, we were able to get a great gathering space for this family and all of their friends. Check out these other entertaining spaces here and here. We cannot wait to show you the Dining Room. Enjoy!

Twist on a Mid-century Modern & a Classic galley style space. We decided to open up the kitchen by introducing a large 7 foot bay window to let in the light and make the space feel big and bright. We adjusted all the appliance locations for function and beauty and added a dramatic octagon style large format tile floor to again enhance the space. My FAVORITE detail is the brick full height backsplash running all the way up above cabinets, maximizing every square inch of space with detail. A custom hood, open shelving, and the sconce lights really set this kitchen apart with every detail.

'Life On The Meadow'
Client brief - Tony and Pat sat in on Sharron's Home Show talk and booked there and then. Like so many, they also wanted to start with art. The brief for their home on the meadow included replacing their African theme with a contemporary style, updating their kitchen and the overall decor.
Our strategy - Sometimes clients are scared of colour but love it once they experience its power. Based on Tony and Pat's choices from her sample album, Sharron used a dribble technique to express 'the spirit of the meadow' and confirm a classic contemporary style which gave scope to Carmel, from Touches Interiors, for more design features. Carmel's new kitchen, rugs, custom upholstery, cushions, professional paint work and accessorising completed the brief beautifully.
Results - "Sharron and I took Tony and Pat’s tired space to a new level of colour with their favourite Blues, Greens and a touch of the Orange reminiscent of South Africa. I had their beloved lounge re-upholstered with modern geometric fabrics, added a new transitional rug, and complimentary white, teal and yellow accessories. My team refreshed the interior's feel with white washed walls and a newly fitted modern kitchen which provided better function and storage along with the luxury of a new stove, dishwasher and statement piece glass splash back. New shutters, lighting and refurbished floors and stairs set the stage for Sharron’s Artwork, 'Life on the Meadow'. “We are thrilled with everything and could never have achieved anything like it on our own, so a big thank you! It has all come together so well, and we are enjoying it all. Our daughter who returned home from living overseas said that she feels like she is living in a resort with all the changes, as did we!” Pat and Tony, Strathpine

This kitchen remodel is truly one of a character. The warmth of these cabinets from New River, the sleek back-splash pattern, and the enormous amount of light coming in from a clerestory window, make this kitchen scream inviting.
Before this kitchen was somewhat dark, and did not reflect the personalities of our homeowners. They invited us into their homes, and together we created this gorgeous new kitchen.
Our homeowners frequently found themselves sitting in the balcony area of this kitchen, so together we came up with a design that incorporated this area into the kitchen. With Coffee or tea within an arm’s length, who wouldn’t want to spend the morning watching the sun rise right in this little area?
We wanted to create the look of “cabinetry to ceiling” but were unable to move the soffits in this kitchen. Our solution? Custom Cabinetry trim to create this illusion. We think it turned out beautifully!
We also wanted to work together to open up the kitchen into the formal dining space, but didn’t want to remove too many walls or sacrifice cabinetry storage. We created a pass through above standard counter top height with it’s own bar top between these two rooms. Now food, drinks, and conversation can easily pass through these areas.
Two recessed lights built into the cabinets add visual interest, and functional lighting in our new pass through area.
The products that you find in this kitchen are contributors of the warm feeling you get when you walk into this kitchen. The cabinetry is from New River, made in Roanoke, VA. The wood species is Maple, and the door style is “Somerset.” The finish called “choral” adds warmth with it’s reddish undertone.
On of our favorite features in this kitchen is the glass inserts in the cabinetry above and adjacent to the new gas stove from GE. Glass detail in cabinetry always breaks up the cabinets by adding a place for the eye to immediately go to. These are unique as they are a wavy textured glass that allow you to get a peek inside of the cabinets, but are not fully transparent.

This kitchen features matching double islands – one as a prep work workstation and the second for entertaining/gathering – both serving different yet equally important functions and appropriate to the grand scale of the house. One of the designer’s favorite features is the dropped ceiling above the islands (which is backlit) which connects and balances the spaces. The cabinetry is a 5/4 thick overlay door in a transitional slant style, and houses multiple refrigeration and freezer units and appliance storage. The kitchen is fully equipped with every modern appliance a cook could want – from a steam oven, wine column, double ovens and a coffee station. The island is a driftwood-finished white oak, and the countertops are nano glass with the exception of the waterfall-edge island in statuary marble. The exquisite backsplash is a shimmery mother of pearl, which adds sparkle and shine throughout the space. The custom-designed enamel-covered hood is the show-stopping focal point of the room.

Quality pieces chosen with a discerning eye are the thread that ties this room together. A quite corner just for him holds a comfortable chair for night reading while sipping on his favorite drink. On her corner a fluffy chaise and fur spread for winter reading would make her feel like a queen. More elegant details on her side of the closet like this elegant pink “Grange” Bombay chest and a tree sculpture become a functional jewelry tree.
Bridgewater
The remodel design features 2-inch tongue and groove oak flooring. White antique enamel cabinets – two featuring custom glass fronts – brightened the kitchen. Granite was used for all countertops and the center island. The under mounted stainless steel kitchen sink and food preparation area features an emerald green subway tile backsplash. And the cherry wood center island features a downdraft gas range that vents outdoors.
The result: a warm, inviting space for entertaining family and friends.

Urbane storey
On entering this modern Mumbai home, the first thing that comes to mind is the spacious and airy feel of the living room. In order to add to spatial appeal, an illusion of space has been created in the form of a custom mirror design, through carefully procured materials including asymmetrical mirrors, blends of veneer and brass inlay.
The Colour scheme of this home has been selected to reflect the trending tones. For instance, the olive shade used in the living area, gives the space a simplistic elegance as well as a fresh, classy vibe.
The children's rooms have been designed, keeping in mind the concept of utilitarianism and everyday functionality.
Satvario marble has been tastefully used in the paneling of the tv unit, adding luxury and style to the entertainment area.
The home entrance is accentuated by a bespoke unit which acts as a book display cum shoe unit. Brass, the timeless favorite, is used lavishly, giving this feature an ultra modern look.
Inspired Remodeling & Tile by Peter Bales
A wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed to open up the entire space for entertaining as well as to allow for a more functional layout. The cabinets are a glazed maple with upgraded laminate countertops. The 12" x 24" porcelain tiles are called "W Slate" from American Florim. These are some of my favorite tile because of the incredible color variations that mimic a slate tile without the brittle texture of slate that can be a nightmare to clean in the kitchen. I don't think any two of these were alike! Very cool.
V6B Kitchens - Fine Cabinetry - Design
Playing with color is one of our favourite thing to do. To complete the transformation, V6B's team paid attention to every detail.
The centerpiece of this luxurious kitchen is the stunning Dekton Natura Gloss backsplash, a masterpiece in itself. Its glossy surface reflects light effortlessly, creating an ethereal ambiance that enchants all who enter. The backsplash's subtle veining adds depth and character, elevating the visual appeal to new heights. As your eyes wander, they are met with the double waterfall countertops, a true testament to the artistry of design. These flawless surfaces cascade gracefully, seamlessly blending form and function.
Gleaming brass accent details accentuate the exquisite aesthetics of this luxury kitchen. From handles and fixtures to statement lighting, these shiny brass elements add a touch of regal allure. Their warm, lustrous tones harmonize effortlessly with the turquoise backdrop, creating a captivating interplay of colors.
Sunday Kitchen & Bath
This 100+ year old rowhouse kitchen was thoughtfully reconfigured. The door and the window switched places to allow for a functional L shape. The ceiling was raised to it's original height. The rest of the house has beautiful white oak trim in a rich red tone. Crystal Cabinet Work's quarter sawn white oak in Umber stain with a flat sheen was just the right fit. The simple shaker cabinet door style shows off the beautiful oak grain. Since there was so much height, double stacking the cabinets on the sink wall was imagined early on. The Glacier leaded glass provides vintage charm. The homeowner's favorite art piece provides a stunning focal point. The homeowner is a serious chef and required a top notch range and a commercial kitchen floor. There are many storage options in the hallway from the dining room and plenty of counter space. Our vision was to create a kitchen that would captivate the senses and elevate the culinary experience for our client. With this goal in mind, we curated a selection of premium elements that would set this kitchen apart.
Your eyes are immediately drawn to the magnificent floor-to-ceiling wine rack, which adds a touch of luxury to the space.
We have installed two state-of-the-art Neff double ovens to ensure that every culinary creation is executed flawlessly. These ovens offer unparalleled precision and control, allowing you to bring your culinary visions to life effortlessly, via sleek design and advanced functionality.
In the heart of the kitchen stands a contrasting blue island – a striking centrepiece. This bold choice adds a vibrant splash of colour to the space while creating a captivating focal point. The contrasting blue island adds not only visual interest but also provides ample workspace for your culinary endeavours.
Practicality meets luxury with the abundance of additional storage in this kitchen design. From concealed cabinets to spacious drawers, every inch of the kitchen has been optimised for maximum storage. Furthermore, nestled within the blue island, you'll find a wine fridge to keep your favourite vintages perfectly chilled and ready to be savoured.
Efficiency and convenience were paramount when designing this kitchen. The double sink offers ample room for food preparation and clean-up, ensuring a seamless cooking experience. We have also included a Quooker tap, providing instant boiling water. Say goodbye to waiting for the kettle to boil and embrace the convenience of modern technology.
Cooking should be an immersive experience. That's why we have incorporated a cutting-edge Bora hob into this kitchen project. The Bora hob combines innovative design with powerful extraction, ensuring a smoke and odour-free cooking environment. Relish the chance to be creative in the kitchen, while revelling in the exquisite aesthetics of this sleek and efficient cooking surface.
Completing the picture of timeless elegance is the white quartz worktop and splashback, crafted with the utmost precision. The white quartz worktop provides a pristine canvas for your culinary creations, while the splashback adds a touch of glamour and protects the walls from splatters and stains. With their seamless integration into the overall design, these elements elevate the kitchen's aesthetic appeal.
“Having a new kitchen is a huge investment and something you want to get absolutely right. I can honestly say that we are delighted with our Ridgeway kitchen, having been messed around by another company. We were so pleased to meet Jim he was amazing, he really took on board what we wanted and how the kitchen needed to work for our family and home environment. He came up with a design we loved and he managed to work this within our budget. Nothing was too much for Jim, changes were made, I regularly contacted him and he always got back to me promptly with excellent customer service. There was never any pressure to proceed. Jim followed the kitchen project all the way through the process. He was very knowledgeable, with high expectations for our kitchen and was able to offer sound advice which has resulted in a fantastic kitchen”

A Rooftop for Endless Entertainment Possibilities.
High above Georgetown, a very private terrace needed a very big transformation. Our client wanted a multi-functional space that would allow for different entertaining situations. Faced with tricky access and stringent building requirements, the design team needed to create a plan that followed the rules and delighted the client.
We approached this project by designing multiple outdoor “rooms.” Custom-built structures were combined with beautiful plantings, which softened the clean architectural lines and added visual separation. An Ipe-clad outdoor kitchen with grill, refrigerator, and wine cooler was built on site, as was the impressive custom dining table with concrete top. The smaller lounging area provides a more intimate place to gather, and the raised Ipe deck includes more lounge space, a fire pit, and city views. The rooftop golf green adds a playful and unexpected element. This special outdoor space is sure to be a favorite for the homeowner, and an unforgettable social spot for guests.

The "Nautical Aqua Living Quarters" is one of our latest fan favorites that included an entryway, family room, dining room, play area, and kitchen space. The goal was to create a cohesive, warm and inviting space that this young family could enjoy. By utilizing some multi-functional storage elements, we created hidden spaces that helped organize kid toys. The introduction of the aqua color splash was a warm yet subtle pop that made everything visually flow.
