Vale Garden Houses
We had the pleasure of designing and manufacturing a bespoke orangery for this charming Late 17th Century home.
This resulting garden room was a testament to our dedication to preserving the architectural integrity of the era while adding a touch of modern elegance.
To document our work and the seamless integration of the orangery within the existing structure, we captured a series of photographs during this summer which we're excited to share with you.

This unique octagonal orangery was created for this stunning home in the village of Chew Magna. Our client had originally chosen an aluminium conservatory company, and the project was 75% complete with numerous issues when David Salisbury was asked to step in to recover the project and had to start by dismantling the existing half-built structure.
The unusual lead roof had a complicated 'cut-in' to an existing pitched lead roof. The windows in this orangery are double gothic, with gothic panes in the doors. This creates a truly bespoke addition to this property.
David Salisbury provided a full turn-key operation, looking after the project from the initial design right through to completion.

This painted orangery in Buckinghamshire is undoubtedly up there as one of our stand-out private residential projects of recent years.
With the host building being the vicarage in the grounds of an abbey, clearly getting the design right was a hugely important first step.
As the David Salisbury designed commented: “you can imagine the pride I felt in working on a design of this significance, for what is an important period property. The vicarage is a unique house and with the abbey located nearby, the design had to be perfectly in-keeping and sympathetic with its surroundings.”
The traditional orangery design well complements the client’s period brick property, allowing them to feel closer to their beautiful garden and providing views of the river and the abbey.

Our customers located in a rural location near
the village of Northchapel required a fairly large
orangery for their farmhouse.
The property did require planning permission and
we also had to apply for listed building consent as
the house is Grade II listed. Our team took care
of every detail and the applications passed with
no issues. The only requirement (which we had
already foreseen) was that we use the same bricks
as used on the house to give it a seamless finish.
The bricks are Henley red and the orangery was
painted in Lichen.
The finished project exceeded expectations and
gave our clients the extra space they required for
their growing family. Our team had performed
well, from design through to completion. Our
clients passed comment on how professional and
friendly everyone was. Overall, a very successful
project of which has improved the home and the
customers are very pleased with.

Bespoke seasoned oak orangery with white painted exterior frames with natural oak interior frame finish, designed and built as part of a kitchen extension project in North London.

This orangery in South West London combines space for a kitchen extension, along with a dining table and chairs and a living area, all in the type of open plan format that is so sought after nowadays.
With our increasingly busy lifestyles, combining the functions of cooking, eating and relaxing makes sense, especially when these activities often blend together at the same time.
Whether it be a morning coffee, time to read the newspapers, or space for the family to play, an orangery provides such functional living space.

This was a really interesting project on behalf of our client in Sevenoaks, Kent. The new oak orangery combined with renovating an adjoining room into a new kitchen created a 25 sq.m. open plan living space.

It is always a pleasure to work with a customer with impeccable taste in contemporary interiors and this project was no exception.
The orangery forms a seamless addition to the customer’s home, with a solid brick wall at one end giving the feel and impression that it has always been there. The French Doors afford easy access to the patio area and well-tended garden.
The large lantern roof is the centrepiece of this design and ensures a huge amount of natural light is allowed in throughout the day – the requirement to let in more light into the home is a regular request from our customers and something our designers will cover during the complimentary home design visit.
The light tone wooden flooring adds a natural feeling to the new extension, continuing from the main house itself, with the coffee table and lamp tables further complemented this look.
The additional floor space created has allowed room for a grand, three-seater sofa and two occasional sofas, in different contemporary shades of grey.
The orangery has now become the room the customer spends most time in at home – from relaxing into the evenings or entertaining friends and family.
