I found this original antique marble and mahogany vanity and swooned for its carrara marble top, inset sink and mirror. Its rococco carvings and sensuous lines seemed to be just perfect for a young girl's.bathroom... glamorous and just slightly outrageous, but still very practical...what fun! We outfittted the bathroom with aging brass faucets and hardware and tiled the walls and floor in soft tones of ochre and blue marble tiles. A separate area was designed for the commode and an antique French etagere, for additional storage. An alabaster ceiling fixture (not shown) adds yet another romantic touch to this playfully elegant, old-style bathroom.
