Although the page needs to be updated, you will find numerous current reviews. This will be an accurate depiction of the work we do and the customer service we provide.

From time to time we will encounter a difficult client. This relationship started out just fine with the normal questions and a couple of red flags for us. The client had a previous unprofessional experience with an addition remodel project. Early in the process it was very clear they were having trust issue with us. Instead of letting us run the project as we have done successfully since 1999, the client tried to manage multiple aspects of the remodel, including our process, so we had conflict early on. The client also made racial comments about a couple of sub-contractor staff members. So we had to address that in a professional manner.
The client should have been their own general contractor as he just wouldn’t leave us to our process. At one point he was convinced that our local custom cabinet manufacturer would not be able to deliver an acceptable product unless he was down at the production facility managing. This is not a joke. We informed the client that this was an unacceptable request and unacceptable behavior. That we would need to walk away from the project if he felt that strongly about attempting this move. He did decline and we continued. I would challenge the client to respond to this with finish photos of their kitchen. It is nothing less than stunning. They would not allow us to photograph the space.
The client also claims that we charged them thousands of dollars that were unwarranted. Sorry, but we have all the change orders, signed and approved by the client. They added work and also added almost every upgraded option to the kitchen cabinets including decorative glazed finishes and flush inset doors and drawers that come at a premium in the custom cabinet world. The additional charges were presented to them (at their request) and they approved them and paid upfront before ANY of this work was completed. We DID NOT complete the work then just recklessly hand them a bill. We have a very clean and structured change order process that requires all cost be approved and paid in full before any of the additional work is ordered into production.
The claims this client is making are on the edge of being ridiculous. They were in control of their own funding and bank accounts, and they are responsible for their own actions. They make it sound as if we had our hands in their pockets, robbing them. To attempt to tarnish our reputation by writing this kind of review and posting it in several places speaks volumes to the integrity and character of this client. By no means were we perfect at everything we did on the remodel, no company is. It’s how you respond to the issues that may arise during a complex remodel that defines customer service and showcases our integrity as a company. We have done this time and time, year after year and have built a solid and wide fan base within our invaluable clients.
Besides talking down to our staff in a belittling way on too many occasions to count, this guy just would not let us do our job. He convinced himself that he knew our job and our industry better than we do. Sorry Rick and Nancy but shame on you. You should know better. We will continue to grow and thrive as an award winning design and remodeling company passionate about offering POSITIVE and professional remodeling experiences. And even though this relationship did end on a negative note, we, the bad guys, .…. performed an inspection of the project a year later and addressed items associated with the project that we were responsible for. The items we were not responsible for we respectfully informed and reminded the clients of their ownership of those items.
