Bay Build Design (formerly Barnum Building & Design,) is a full service design/build firm creating meaningful, well-crafted, functional and beautiful spaces for our clients, their lifestyles and investments. We’ve built our reputation on trust, transparency and delivery. We also offer stand-alone permit expediting services for homeowners and professionals who prefer to hire out this often detailed aspect of projects. Our working motto is, “all things are connected.” Our collaborative approach, and outstanding work result in returning clients, a solid referral stream, and a stable workforce. Adam Barnum got his start in San Francisco managing all phases of new, residential underground garage additions, garage expansions, foundation work, seismic upgrades, and full scale residential remodels for homeowners and investors. We have worked with several contractors over the years during home remodels, and Adam is heads above the rest. He actually answers his phone, even after you sign the paperwork! We found him to be knowledgeable (he gently steered us away from some sub-par ideas) as well as flexible (we may have changed our minds once or twice). Remarkably, this exceptional level of professionalism was 100% consistent across everyone who works for Adam, from his project manager to his drywall crew (trust me, this is very rare). Our project finished on time and stayed on budget. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

It was such a pleasure working with Adam and Bobbi Jo, they are very honest people to work with. Adam is very detail oriented and love what he does and that's what makes him very unique and trust worthy. Adam finished our major construction on a very timely manner, I was pregnant and very worried the project won't end on time for our move, but finally all came together on time. He made our home look beautiful. He is very respectful and friendly, yet very professional and honest.
