Estudio Castaño

Estudio Castaño is a design firm run by Mexico city- based interior decorator & stager Lorena Castaño. We offer from full-space renovations to simple design consultations. We see the full potential of your space and help you achieve it. We excel at working with tight budgets and believe in reusing, recycling and DIY. We try to be eco-friendly with all our design choices. If you are not located in our area, we can help you online as well. Our main designer: Lorena Castaño has been decorating, designing and creating since she realized she didn’t really wanted to be a vet, and was instead more focused imagining the awesome pet hospital she wanted to build (several other career choices suffered from the same treatment). She has branched out into various aspects of art & design through her life, including: painting, sculpture, photography, animation, film, industrial & graphic design and landscaping. Lorena has a formal background in architecture and design by schools like La Salle, UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) and Centro. She’s an avid reader, organizer and obsesses about detail. Recently, she has decorated the Hacienda in Motion 2013 event @Hacienda Ojo de Agua, contributed to the Bunkasai 2013 event @Cenlex Zacatenco IPN, decorated the offices of SEP (seasonally) and several coworkers and friends’ houses. We stay updated on the architecture and decorating trends via blogs, magazines and design shows and expos. We have 3D modeling skills and can work with Autocad, Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Maya, Rhino and several other programs and apps.
