We are so happy with our Tankersley kitchen remodel. We were surprised that a custom home builder would do a kitchen and we were impressed with the process, the people and the finished kitchen. We appreciated the tenacity and eye for detail from our Project Manager Pam. Josh constructed the perfect pantry for us with such care. The team worked so well together. Brian took care to prepare our space for construction, making sure it was comfortably set up for us. Every employee was professional and seemed to enjoy working there. Our kitchen is everything we wanted it to be.

Tankersley construction did an excellent job as the lead contractor on our whole house remodel! This project was the first time my wife and I had ever done a renovation and we were very apprehensive about the cost and the process. From the beginning Steve and Heather put an emphasis on communication and planning, clearly laying out the different phases of the project, from developing plans to finalizing finish selections. They were transparent about the budget and minimized the need for change orders by identifying potential issues during the pre-construction phase of the project, which helped keep the costs down. The staff they had on site during construction were excellent. Josh, Tyler, and Brian were very skilled, knowledgeable, courteous, and maintained a very clean job site. The design advice Jennifer provided was prompt and helped push us through our decision fatigue as we neared the end of the project. After we moved back in, the Tankersley team was great about following up on any minor issues we identified as we started using the house. Josh fixed some of the dings we put into the new walls when we were moving our furniture and Eric was great about scheduling subs to come out and fix the issues we identified. Overall Tankersley got the project done on schedule, on budget, and provided quality craftsmanship throughout and made the whole process fun. If you are looking for a firm to lead your home remodeling project we could not recommend Tankersley highly enough!

After living in our comfortable tract home for 41 years, we wanted to update our kitchen and adjacent living spaces. We worked with Bree Steele at Design Shop Interiors for the design, and Tankersley Construction for the renovation. Steve and Heather made a great impression during our first meeting. We continued to be impressed by their professional and talented team of builders and craftsmen throughout the renovation. Our project involved removing two walls as well as our original kitchen and dropped ceiling, which was rebuilt to tie in with the existing vaulted ceiling. The original fireplace was removed and rebuilt to incorporate an electric insert. Doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, moulding and lighting were replaced. We appreciate that the construction areas were sealed off, allowing us to live comfortably and safely in the back half of our home during construction. We are grateful to Tankersley’s highly organized Project Manager, Amy Bertram, who ensured that the project flowed as smoothly and stress-free as possible. We are thrilled with our stunning new open kitchen and living spaces. We highly recommend Tankersley Construction.

We contacted Tankersley Construction earlier this year to remove a wall in our home. We were instantly impressed. After deciding to proceed, the entire process went smooth. We appreciated the transparency throughout planning, design and construction. As a home owner I can't tell you how awesome it is to be in the loop with the schedule especially when your living room area is closed off during construction. The attention to detail was also amazing. They made it feel like the renovation was meant to be. I would recommend them to anyone.

Remodeling our kitchen was something we had been dreaming of doing for years but just didn't know how to start. Steve was able to take our vague ideas and assemble a team that executed the perfect transformation. We feel like we are living in a brand new home. Tankersley Construction is a cut above! We worked with Steve and his team on a full kitchen remodel and could not be happier with the results. The primary team for our project included Amy as the project manager, and Kyle leading the construction team of Scott and John. Amy was a phenomenal PM always listening to our ideas and concerns, coordinating with our designer, and making sure the project ran smoothly. Kyle, Scott, and John were kind, reliable, and trustworthy and their work was of the highest quality with great attention to detail. On a few occasions Kyle found and pointed out to us minor issues we would never have noticed and corrected them immediately. The whole team instilled a great deal of professionalism and confidence. We have done several remodels or upgrades to different areas of our home. This was the smoothest remodel of all. I really appreciated the schedule and time frame of this operation. If situations changed, the schedule was adjusted and communicated. We started and finished this project within 2 days of projected finish date, even with changes and several specialty sub contractors. The quality of workmanship was excellent and as expected. Communication was easy with all the employees. I would 100% recommended Tankersley Construction. We did a remodel of a family room requiring: Electrical, paint, new built in cabinet, new shiplap with special paint treatment on a high vaulted ceiling, new beam wrap and fan on this same ceiling. Remove brick treatment on high wall. Install new raw walnut wood mantle, install wallpaper, install several new light fixtures. All while carefully and efficiently protecting the floor and remaining components to the space.

We’ve had several great experiences with this company. In every instance they approached us and the job with respect, competence, integrity, and great attention to detail.

After interviewing several home remodel contractors we selected Tankersley Construction to do a total whole-house renovation of our home, including door-to-door luxury vinyl plank waterproof flooring, quartz counter tops, sinks, complete tile replacement, fixtures, door levers and hinges, and last, full paint throughout. We had them convert one tub/shower combo into a full walk-in shower with glass sliding barn doors, frame-less glass enclosure on the master shower, and a custom 8' x 10' closet storage unit. Steve Tankersley and his team (Kyle, Amy, John, and Scott) are true professionals and customer focused. The sub-contractors they use for tile, counter top fabrication, flooring and painting are part of the Tankersley team and every bit as professional. We were able to move back into our home right on schedule. And, most important, we love our "new" home. Thank you Tankersley Construction for delivering on your promise of satisfaction and a job well done!

We hired Tankersley Construction for a whole house renovation. We had never done a renovation or worked with contractors until meeting Steve Tankersley. We could not have been more blessed to have Steve and his crew renovate our home and bring our vision to light.
