The attractive chairs are lavishly carved in oak wood in the French Hunting style that was originally made popular by King Francis I and they boast a very regal look indeed. Entwined leaves on the crest rail create an attractive silhouette and the vines trailing down the back splat add lovely sensuous detail, framed by handsome barley twist posts. The barley twists are topped with floral carved blocks and spindle finials. More carved rose blocks on the chair legs and turned stretchers complete the aristocratic effect. The antique chairs are upholstered with classic neutral caning on the chair seats. Sturdy in construction and delightful to the eye, this set of six antique Renaissance Hunting style chairs is sure to be a create visual interest in your dining room.
