Additional details: Original screenprint designed and created by Robert Motherwell for the Mostly Mozart Festival presented at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City in 1991. It was originally intended to be both print and poster but only an unsigned screenprint print was produced in an edition of 800. It is printed on Arches paper.

Printed on very heavy stock.Arp was a founding member of the Dada movement in Z'rich in 1916. In 1920, as Hans Arp, along with Max Ernst, and the social activist Alfred Gr'nwald, he set up the Cologne Dada group. However, in 1925 his work also appeared in the first exhibition of the surrealist group at the Gal'rie Pierre in Paris.

Published by Leo Castelli Gallery for the Aspen Jazz Festival in 1967. Printed by Chiron Press, New York. The project was initiated by John and Kimiko Powers who invited several leading jazz musicians to participate in a weekend called the Aspen Jazz Festival in 1967. Page 82 #44 of "The Prints of Roy Lichtenstein" a catalogue raisonne 1948-1993.Lichtenstein sought an anonymous style, removing personal reference to convey the appearance of mass production. He borrowed familiar subjects like comic strips, bank notes and advertising from magazines and newspaper comics. Using a pallet of bright primary colors in his composition, Lichtenstein developed the, now famous, technique of stenciled dotted lines that mimicked and amplified commercial printing patterns.
