Some pieces fuse East and West. The Palace Garniture vases and lamps are based on an 18th -century blue and white Chinese export porcelain garniture (a set of vases for a chimneypiece or cabinet) displayed in the Governor's Palace in Williamsburg, Virginia. A 1770 inventory of furnishings in the Palace listed 56 pieces of ornamental china, which likely included such Chinese porcelain made for European markets. Global Views has given the handsome shapes a smart update with a soft matte white finish that suits classic or contemporary interiors. Global Views aesthetic and WILLIAMSBURGs trend meets tradition approach to design are perfectly in sync.

The Beaufort collection of ceramic urns was inspired by the fluted urn-shaped finials that crown a green japanned bedstead in the Governor's Palace in Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area. The cornice and finials for the bed are based on a Hepplewhite design for a "Venetian" bedstead. The green color represents the Palace furnishings of Lord Botetourt, British royal governor of Virginia, who lived there from 1768 to 1770. Botetourt's sister was the 4th Duchess of Beaufort, whose country seat, Badminton, was one of the most elegantly furnished country houses in England.

Cased glass vases made with amber colored interiors and pale blue exteriors. Both the interior and exterior are originally shiny glass, until our artisans apply a chemical etching to the exterior surface to help create a soft texture giving contrast to the shiny interior. The final design has been hand "pulled" while still molten into the shapes you see here, and also "pinched" on the front edge to add special emphasis to the bulging shape where the tip originates. Also available in Gray/Amber.
