Industrial Abstract and Forest Animal Mixed Media Art

Consigned mixed media by José Ramón Lerma, an abstract artist from the Salinas Valley, who was the first Chicano artist to attend a formal art school. Key member of the Beat art scene in San Francisco in the early 60's with many solo exhibitions at seminal gallery spaces. Lerma has shown at Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Albuquerque, Oakland Museum, The San Francisco Museum of Art, and on. In 2000 a major retrospective of his work was held at Intersection for the Arts. Mixed media, signed, dated verso.
