The 100.4401- 3/4" Thermostatic valve with 2 volume controls has two inlets for hot and cold water separately and two outputs, on at the top and other at the bottom. The valve has a flow rate of 13.0 GPM @ 60 PSI.

• Supply Stops - There are two safety stops at each water inlet to prevent water flow in case of installation and repairs.

Handle Operation - The middle handle is used to control temperature of water flowing through the 2 outlets. The volume of water is control by either of the 2 control handles on each side (vertically) of the temperature control handle. Both the volume control handles, top and bottom, are independent of each other and water can flow through both the outlets simultaneously from a trickle to full volume. There is no diverter used in this valve. The markings on the trim next to the top and bottom handle are as follows:

• Position ON - Output active
• Position OFF - No water flow

As the valve is installed, care should be taken to maintain proper distance from the back of the valve to the surface of finished tile which should be between 2.77" and 3.44". Also, the valve must be installed vertical and not at an angle. In case, a tile is thicker or wall is deep, extensions are used for elongating both handles of the valve to ensure proper setting of the trim (length of extensions for TVH.4401 valve is 1.40" inches). Extension kits comprises of thermostatic handle extension, which can be ordered separately in chrome, brushed nickel or other special finishes.
Cut Out Dimensions - The cut out in wall should be 8.81" X 4.44" inches which is properly covered by the trim plate. This will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut out hole in the wall.
Trims - The trims comprise of well finished trim plate and handle knobs. The trim plate is used to cover the wall and has markings for ON/OFF and HOT/COLD for temperature control handle and volume control handles. Over the temperature control knob, is an anti-scald temperature stop ring which is a safety feature in this thermostatic value. With the help of this ring, temperature of the water is regulated. Covering this ring is the handle knob which has a push button on the side. To adjust the water temperature, one needs to press this button and move the handle to hot or cold direction. Without pressing it, the user will not be able to rotate the handle to the full HOT position - as an anti-scald prevention mechanism. The anti-scald temperature stop ring should be fitted tightly over the valve (tapping using a rubber mallet might be required during installation) for it to function properly.

• Any *4401 series trim can be used with this valve. The 2 controls are only for on and off with no diverter.
