Saucepans

120 Results
Saucepans are a staple of any standard cookware set. They are frequently used for making soups, sauces and stews, so having two (or three) on hand is always a good idea. For the expert chef making more specialized sauces or risottos, a saucier, with its slightly rounded edges, are also commonly used. Regardless of what you get, think about what size and material works best for you.

What kind of sauce pan should I buy?

A larger sauce pan is ideal for bulk cooking or family-style cooking, though you will probably need a small alternative as well. Large sauciers can often serve multiple purposes as a saucepan and wok, so you get more bang for your buck. They often come in stainless steel, copper, cast iron and aluminum finishes; depending on your budget and cooking preferences, you might want to go for more heavy-duty cast iron, affordable aluminum or evenly distributed copper.
