Traditional Ceramic Lamp Bases

This lamp base was handcrafted in Montelupo Fiorentino, which is a municipality in the city of Florence in the region of Tuscany. From the end of the 13th century and throughout the Renaissance the town was one of the most important centers of the production of ceramics for all of Europe. Limoni Toscani is a pattern traditional to the area. The lemons on this traditional pattern call to mind the lemon groves of Tuscany and the food that contains the zest of the fruit. This lamp has been drilled so that you can fit it with the accessories you prefer.
This Limoni Toscani lamp base is 12" in height with a 10" diameter. Measurements are approximate.

This lamp base was handcrafted and painted by hand by artisans of Rampini at the foot of Mt. Ingino, a small mountain in the Apennine range. Gubbio was one of the centers of Italian pottery production during the Renaissance, and contemporary production respects the traditional methods and designs. Please note this lamp base has a hole drilled in the back so that it is ready for wiring.
The lamp base is 16.5" tall. The base is 6" in diameter. Measurements are approximate.
