The San Felipe displaced more than 1000 tons and was armed with 96 cannons, enabling her to take on the most formidable ships in the French and British navies. The San Felipe’s role in the war against the British and French was to help protect Spanish settlements and harbors, to transport treasures, and to safeguard the long and hazardous passage back to Spanish ports. In 1705, the San Felipe participated in a furious and heroic battle between 12 Spanish ships and 35 British ships. After 24 hours of battle, she was captured by an English ship, but was so badly damaged that she could not be salvaged as a prize. She went down to the bottom of the ocean with several tons of gold.

History: The Harley-Davidson Model 7D of 1911 was the first successful v-twin from Harley-Davidson, inaugurating a motorcycle engine configuration that has continued unbroken from the Milwaukee motor company ever since. In 1909, Harley had made a few examples (27 units) of another v-twin, but the design was flawed and they did not try again until two years later. In 1911, 5,625 Model 7Ds were manufactured. The Model 7D's motor was the F-head IOE engine, in use until 1929. It sold for US $300, which with inflation would be $7619 in today's currency. Ignition was via a magneto, and the engine was started using bicycle-style pedals. Instead of a conventional clutch, a pulley belt tensioner could be moved, allowing the leather drive belt to slip. Touting its effective muffler, Harley-Davidson advertised the 7D, and the other Harleys of this era, as "The Silent Gray Fellow." A 1911 Model 7D from the George Pardo collection was set to be auctioned in January 2014.

It is the headlight from a Jawa CZ motorcycle. Jawa Moto is a Czechoslovakian motorcycle and moped manufacturer founded in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1929 by Franti-ek Janecek, who also bought the motorcycle division of Wanderer. The name JAWA is from the first two letters of Janecek and Wanderer. In the 1950s, JAWA was one of the top motorcycle manufacturers in the world. They exported their P-r-k model to over 120 countries. The tripod stand is made out of wood. The height of the tripod can be adjusted by the wing nuts on each of the legs. The lamp can extend to be as high as 54 inches but sits around 30 inches at its shortest. This lamp comes with the stand, the light, and the wire. The lamp needs assembly but it is very straightforward. Set up the stand and attach the light with the included nuts. History: The B-17 Flying Fortress was designed in 1934, then made its first flight on July 28,1935, but wasn't ready for delivery until March 1940. Hoisting a deadly load of bombs into the frozen skies, the B-17 Flying Fortress was the United States' workhorse heavy bomber during the WWII. B-17s served around the globe, but they are B-17 Movie Poster-terrible perhaps most famous for their Eight Air Force daylight strategic bombing raids on Germany. Flying in close formation and bristling with machine guns, the 'Forts' battled through storms of anti-aircraft fire and swarms of German fighters to reach their targets. The B-17 was slower than its counterpart bomber, the B-24 Liberator. It carried fewer bombs and couldn't fly as far as the B-24. Yet, because of the B-17s sturdy and stout design, its crews trusted their aircraft believing that their 'Forts' wouldn't let them down. B-17s returned to England daily with their noses blown open, tails gashed and wings riddled with flack damage.
