Engelsma Homes recently completed an outstanding remodel of our Ada home, transforming an old, beat-up aluminum-sided box into a stunning, modern, custom farmhouse. This major, year-long project went without a hitch, and we could not be more satisfied. In choosing Engelsma Homes we were initially swayed by their trusted reputation and many stellar reviews and satisfied clients in West Michigan. As a former federal prosecutor and later president of a large concrete manufacturing business in Chicago, I wanted someone I could trust to do excellent work with honesty and integrity. Throughout the contracting process Engelsma’s professional team guided our design decisions and the many finish selections in ways we could not have anticipated. The results far exceeded our expectations. My wife really clicked with designer Leslie Koon and her assistants. There are so many aspects of our new home that we daily enjoy and admire that would be lacking were it not for their unstinting advice and counsel. Our project manager Matt Raymond was the best. He kept us fully informed every step of the way, and managed and coordinated the myriad of interrelated tasks and subcontractors so that there was little down time. This big project was constantly moving towards completion and on budget over the course of a full year. So we would choose Engelsma Homes in a heartbeat for our next project. We can’t imagine anyone in West Michigan ever being disappointed in trusting them with the home of their dreams. Engelsma combines the two essential traits in the pursuit of excellence: character and competence. The character of the entire Engelsma team is above reproach. They are fair, honest, and transparent. No matter how detailed and thoughtful the construction contract, there will still be the need for change orders that you will never regret. But these change orders will be fairly priced and necessary for both you and the builder. And the competence, care and extreme attention to detail of the Engelsma team will shine in the quality and craftsmanship in every aspect of the finished home. In sum, Engelsma communicated with us clearly, frequently and professionally. They were punctual and stuck to their commitments even at times to their short-term detriment. They flagged the rare delay and unforeseen problems openly and early. Their integrity is unmatched in the building trades. You will never regret working with this team.

Engelsma Homes built our home in 2010 and we could not have been more impressed with the entire team at Engelsma. There was not 1 single day that passed that there wasn't someone onsite doing work.
