About Us

For more than 30 years, Hearth and Home Shoppe has been serving greater Richmond, Virginia with a wide variety of hearth products and services. Close to the 'windmill', Hearth and Home Shoppe has been located in the Village of Mechanicsville since 1987. This retail space originally housed a hardware store, became a furniture store, and then evolved into a stove store. 8151 Mechanicsville Turnpike is now our new home. Hearth and Home Shoppe currently houses a spacious and contemporary showroom with over 50 displays of gas, wood, pellet, and electric fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and gas logs, as well as fireplace doors, screens, and other accessories.

I had my fireplace gas logs insert recently cleaned by Josh. He arrived on time and performed the work in a professional manner. Everything was cleaned up before he left.

We recently bought a home with a gas insert already installed by Hearth and Home. We called and had them come out and do the yearly maintenance for $189.00. The Technician who serviced the unit installed the wrong wattage lightbulb in the back which immediately burnout. I ordered the correct part and requested they come and install it has it requires taking the unit apart and turning off gas. I thought as I had already paid for the service that was performed incorrectly there would be no issue. I was wrong they wanted another $99 to come fix their mistake. I will now be calling another company to do my annual service. I would recommend using another company willing to stand behind their work and come prepared for their job.
