We worked with Chaun and his crew to customize our new construction home rather than go through the builder and their options. Floors, kitchen countertops, backsplash, bathrooms, lighting, built-ins - pretty much everything. It was a big job, and as always the case with such projects, things occasionally didn't go according to plan. What I appreciated most about Chaun was his willingness in such situations to make things right. Even now, months after job completion, these guys have come back to take care of small details that we hadn't noticed at the time the work was completed. Chaun really shines in the planning stages of the job - he gives his opinions on design and materials, but we never felt pressured to do things his way. Very easygoing and easy to work with. The overall quality of the work that he and his crew do is top-notch. Danny, our foreman, is the absolute best, and is (unbelievably) more detail oriented than I am. I would work with Chaun and his crew again without hesitation!

Chaun did a renovation for us and it came out even better than we had expected. My wife and I had a pretty good idea of of what we wanted to do but Chain gave us some advice on moving some walls and adding a few different finishes we hadn't thought about and it turned out amazing. We have hired Chaun Miller Design & Construction multiple times to fix issues we encounter on homes for installs of our solar panels, and some of our clients have ended up hiring him for additional work beyond that. From time to time homes have construction issues that need a general contractors attention before panels can be fixed in place. Chaun is always prompt and on time in fixing these issues for us so we may proceed with our work. They do solid work for each and every client! Craftsmanship is always the best in any project they take on.

Chaun Miller Design & Construction has been contracting me since 2016 to take photos of all their projects from pre demolition to completion. We're profiling the before and after progress on each build. I've made multiple trips per week to each home remodel over the last 3 years and in that time I've met every homeowner and all the professionals they have working for them. I've seen skilled craftsman and nothing but positive and satisfied clients on every build they have contracted me for. I can tell you without a doubt that Chaun is very helpful and informative for each of his clients. I've been very impressed by everything I have seen him build. Chaun and team completed our significant home remodel and second story addition from Feb 2017-October 2017. They were professional, on-schedule and on-budget. The house looks absolutely amazing! They were able to take our vision and turn it into a reality. Chaun was always open to ideas, and finding ways to accomplish what we wanted, vs. telling us something couldn’t be done. He was organized and a clear communicator. We always knew the schedule, where we were against the original estimate, and rarely, if ever, surprised. Visiting the job site on a weekly basis, it was clear the pride Chaun and the crew took in their work. If you wanted, they would spend an hour walking you through the most recent things they’d done, pointing out details and highlighting details we might have missed. The love and attention shows in the final quality. Amazingly, they were also incredibly efficient as the other contractors we quoted all said it would take nearly twice as long. This was the first time we’d done a remodel or any work of this magnitude, and we couldn’t have imagined it going smoother. He helped us through the process, filled in gaps and areas where we were unsure, and was always willing to offer advice and opinions. We would recommend Chaun to any one, and would absolutely work with him and the team, again.

We used Chaun Miller for a major remodel and addition. We would highly recommend Chaun as a contractor. He provided a detailed bid and provided us with written change orders for approval for anything not included in his original bid. He and his crew worked hard to finish on schedule. His standard of workmanship and attention to detail were the best of any contractor we have ever used. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. Most importantly, we feel he is honest and of high character.

I worked with Chaun to remodel a townhouse I own in Encinitas: La Veta Rustic Contemporary. I’m LA based and needed someone I could trust to run the job remotely to a high standard. Chaun more than exceeded my expectations. I have a design background and some remodeling experience on previous homes but a lot has changed in the last 10 years in terms of material costs. Chaun patiently budgeted several design scenarios with me. He was always fair, accurate and focused on quality. Any remodeling project goes through changes that can affect the budget and schedule. Chaun was very accommodating to our requests and was always upfront about the costs and time involved, communicating them in at timely and professional manner. One of the intangibles of working with a contractor is his eye. Chaun is creative and has a great taste. I felt very comfortable describing items in broad strokes and getting great results. On finer details he had a good process that got us from decisions to results with a minimum of fuss. Finally, he has a great crew. They were nice and respectful, skilled craftsmen who care about doing a good job. I highly recommend Chaun.

We used Chaun to remodel a fireplace and entertainment area following a plumbing leak. We converted a wood-burning fireplace to gas, added stone paneling, and built a custom entertainment center. Chaun has a great eye for design and goes above and beyond to ensure that his work product is of the highest quality. The job was quite complex, as it required intricate fabrication of stone and metalwork along with the interlacing of wood planks into the existing hard wood floor. While it was a smaller job than Chaun normally takes on, he was more than willing to work with us. The final product looks very custom and the quality of the work shows.

Despite an uncertain predilection for plaid, Chaun was a real pleasure to work with throughout the design and build of our extensive remodel. He is patient, creative, straight shooter who is driven to provide the best product to his clients. I'd certainly hire him again, and can readily recommend him to others without reservation.

I've worked with Chaun on several projects. Chaun is one of the only general contractors I've met that pays close attention to detail. He is fair and very accurate. His employees are always nice and very skilled. Chaun goes the extra mile to make sure every detail on his projects are perfect. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a great general contractor that has great taste, pays attention to detail and has a good sense of design.

Chaun has remodeled two rental condos and our residence. He is currently working on our master bathroom. We keep asking Chaun to return for more projects because of the high quality workmanship his crew has demonstrated. They are neat, careful, on time and perform thorough daily cleanup before breaking for the day. His estimates are accurate. We highly recommend Chaun for any remodeling work.
