I will preface this by saying that I had never hired a contractor before, so I'm not sure if that factored into my experience. I hired them to re-tile the shower in my master bathroom because of cracked tiles. Chad, Andres, and the guys were always very polite when entering my home. The overall look of the shower is what I wanted, but when you look closer the finishes were not done well. I'm not sure why the edges look the way they do. The grout job overall seems to have not been done well. I've found holes in it in some places and grout not cleaned up well in others. This may explain why they chose to cover the grout with caulk in some places. The problem with this is the discontinuous lines of caulk along with using caulk that was a different color than the grout. This stands out to me, and I hate looking at it every day. When I noticed and complained, they said they'd come and fix it. I just don't understand why anyone thought that would be ok in the first place. I also noticed later that the angle at one of the shower walls is not 90 degrees. Even after this, I was going to have them do some other work for me and replace my front door. Chad sent me an estimate, and I emailed him back to let him know I wanted to go ahead with it. He responded that he'd start working on getting permits. Fast forward one month and I hadn't heard anything, so I called Chad and found out that he hadn't even submitted the permit application. This was an upsetting waste of my time and money as I had to put down a deposit with my HOA to be able to have the work done. He apologized and said he'd send me the application that day. He didn't. When I called the next day to find out what was going on, I got no answer or call back. At that point, I figured I'd given more than enough chances and it would be best to find someone else. This isn't quite a contractor horror story, but I definitely don't want to work with these people again.
