Iris Castillo of I.Castillo Designs is a superstar! I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with her. She has an artist's eye for design combined with the knowledge of a general contractor. Her 20 years' industry experience includes running corporate design departments and owning her own high end showroom in South Florida where she worked on construction projects at every price point. She has seen it all. I was overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin with my remodel of a 3 story beach house. Iris took the time to listen and fully understand my and my family's needs. Her designs were creative and beautiful while improving the flow and function of a very eclectic property. As a project manager, Iris patiently educated me on the process, assisted in discussions with contractors, and tracked all materials and shipments while keeping a close eye on my desired budget. Having a professional of this caliber in your corner is priceless during the building/remodeling process. I am so grateful that Iris brought her amazing skill set to Northeast Florida. If you are looking for a designer for new construction, remodeling or interior design help, I.Castillo Designs should be your first call. You will not be disappointed!

I can’t say enough positive things about Iris. Having never used an interior designer before I wasn’t sure what to expect or if Iris’s services would be worth the cost. I can say with 100% confidence that it was worth it and I recommend Iris for any of your design needs. She helped us with the design of our open floor plan which included our great room, kitchen, and dining room. She’s experienced, professional, and her eye for design is impeccable. She made the process seamless. She was very attentive during the whole process and worked with us to make changes that fit our personal design style. I loved that I was never alone throughout the process and was able to purchase items to fit the space knowing before I bought them that they would be perfect. After reviewing the architecture and surroundings, Iris provided me with the perfect complementary palette suggestions. I hired Iris to help me with my master bedroom. Due to the new working from home requirements for both my husband and I, we needed a second office space and the best place for it was the master bedroom. I had already wasted money in making a few changes myself but was never fully satisfied with the results. My husband and I could also not fully agree on how to set up the space so it was still a nice retreat for sleep. Iris listened to all of my frustrations with the room, and immediately on our first visit she already had ideas that I was excited for. I have dark wood furniture that I would have loved to replace but didn’t have the budget for, since I really needed a better office set up more than anything. So Iris worked on achieving the light airy feel I wanted while maintaining the existing dresser and bed. I love the new design and by having my plan outlined now I can purchase at my own pace and finally have a space I’m excited for without making more costly errors.

I have worked with Iris on some of her projects, and have never ceased to be amazed at her ability to envision the final project in all of its details, almost from the moment she steps into the space. She listens to clients' needs and desires, gets to know their tastes, and then plans accordingly. I have never known her to have a client who was dissatisfied with her work. Her sense of style is spot-on. She incorporates the best of new trends where they with blend with the style her clients are going for, but with an eye to the future so the look will remain timeless. I can highly recommend Iris for full remodels of any space up to and including whole-house remodels, to just interior decorating "refreshing".

Iris Castillo is the most talented designer I’ve ever worked with. She has a natural instinct for design and space, but it’s and how she relates her ideas that impressed me most. She shows you how are ideas will make a difference in your home. We work together to furnish a small living room from scratch. She is professional, enthusiastic, creative and meticulous. She comes to your house, measures the space, diagrams the furniture layout possibilities, observes the play of light on fabrics and shows you how your space will be transformed. She carefully listens to and partners with the customer. She has amazing talent and I would trust her with any design project. I look forward to working with Iris again.

Iris is an enormously talented designer with an exceptional eye for combining flooring, wall coverings, lighting and other amenities to achieve your desired vision of a room. She did our kitchen renovation and the outcome was perfect for our house. She made many suggested changes when we couldn't decide and we are very glad that we went along with her recommendations. We were not entirely pleased with one of the subcontractors, but the final project outcome was excellent

At our request Iris Castillo re-designed a new Master Bath for us and updated the floors, tiles, fixtures, and cabinets for our other three baths. We are very happy with the results. She took the time to learn our tastes and, as a result, we have four bathrooms that have served us well since their completion two years ago and no doubt will continue to do so. Throughout the lengthy project she was responsive to our questions and kept us informed regarding work progress. We do not speak Spanish, but she made herself available to facilitate conversations between us and the Spanish-speaking workers. We recommend her with enthusiasm for similar projects.
