Kristen was incredibly knowledgeable, creative, attentive and just all around awesome! She had so many great ideas that I would’ve never thought. She’s incredibly talented and resourceful and really brings your ideas to life. I’d highly recommend her! Although my job was fairly small (wet bar and bathroom in basement), the area feels so much more than I expected it to.

Kristen was so great to work with. We had her help us with renovating our kitchen and living room. She helped us with so much- from the layout, to materials, colors, vendors and even suggestions for other rooms. She is super personable, friendly and professional. Always quick to respond and available for any questions we had. She went above and beyond helping us with our cabinets and dealing with our quartz order when running into an issue with the company. Was even able to save money and get discounts through companies. She truly knows what she is doing and is absolutely worth the cost. She is the best!

I used Iron Key Designs to help me with my master bathroom remodel. Kristen helped me with the layout, drawing me a quick sketch to help me visualize the finished look. In addition, she met me at the tile store to help me make selections. I was overwhelmed with the choices, and in the end, I chose tile that was completely different than I had envisioned. She helped me get the look I wanted, but steered me toward materials that were more within my budget and coordinated better with the vanities I had already chosen. It all looks amazing together! In between our two meetings, she answered endless questions via text when I needed direction or reassurance. I am so happy I decided to use a designer, and Kristen was just who I needed!

I highly recommend Iron Key Designs! Kristen did a great job working within our budget, and picking out great finishes. She did an awesome design in regards to our master bathroom floor-plan with 2D and 3D layouts. She helped us with all of the minor details that we simply didn't know. I highly recommend her for any renovation!

Kristen has a incredible eye for design, impeccable taste, great imagination of what things can be, and the ability to put it altogether, yet still make it work within the boundaries of a clients personal taste!!

This is long overdue….for 2018 (& 2017, 2016, 2015) I am thankful for @Kristen Shellenbarger! I never fully understood the value of an interior designer, and I’m sure still that title doesn’t do Kristen justice….we think of her more like a home Angel . My husband and I agree, Kristen was hands down the most important person involved in our never-ending home rebuild (due to water damage & negligent contractors). Not only did she provided her amazing eye to design all areas of our house, she also used her years of experience to help monitor the job site and hold the contractors accountable, while bringing ideas and SOLUTIONS every step of the way. Her attention to detail and input was invaluable! She was completely professional, genuinely kind, & so fun to work with! I cannot recommend her enough, and would never consider doing any type of future remodeling/building/design without her help! Even if we were building or remodeling halfway across the world, we’d pay for her airfare to come help us there…that is how much value we place on her being involved in the process (sorry kristen, that move is not currently in the cards. :) we're staying in this beautiful home). Kristen worked with my wife and I to reimagine the first floor of our home in Royal Oak. Her vision and execution helped us convert an old 50s style kitchen into a mud room/laundry, and an existing great room addition into a beautiful new kitchen/living space. Hiring Kristen is like having your extremely talented bff design your kitchen! She is fun but professional and has a keen eye for utilizing every square inch of your space. She oversees the project and goes to bat for her clients. I will never use anyone else for my design needs.
