In 1960, Virgil Knowlton started what is now known as V.K.Knowlton Construction, with only a model D motor grader and an old dump truck. Through persistence and perseverance Virgil set the model for the company as it is known today. Integrity, honesty and attention to detail and schedule became what the V.K.Knowlton Company would be and is still known for today. V.K.’s two sons, President Scott Knowlton and Vice President Sam Knowlton, were raised on these valued business and family principles and continue the family tradition of V.K.Knowlton today. Specializing in turnkey site development, V.K.Knowlton has solidified its position at the top of the industry. From the project bidding process to project completion, V.K.K maintains its core values the company was founded upon to continue to be the premier contractor in South Texas and beyond.
