Recently purchased Whirlpool wine cooler from ADU, Linthicum. Described as Under The Counter. Turns out it was about 1/2" too tall for space created by our renovation contractors. Of course, wanted to return. Turns out fine print in receipt signed by my husband said something to the effect of No returns without box. No exceptions. Unfortunately we did not read fine print. Who does that when signing a receipt? Contractors threw box away. No negotiating here with ADU. We are now stuck with $1000. plus wine cooler. If you choose to do business with this company be sure to keep the precious box. We will not be doing business with them again.

Recently visited the Chantilly location looking for a dishwasher to replace our old one that died. Found one online, went to the showroom to see it up close and settled on one. I asked the sales guy "Are there any issues with sizing or measurements we need to take befor e we order?". He says "The only thing standard in your house is your dishwasher; they're all 24" wide". So we place the order. When the install day comes and the installer comes in, within minutes he says "You have a problem" and tells us our dishwasher won't fit. He says the model we have was an ADA compliant one and it's nearly 2" shorter than a standard. He then asks if the sales guy asked for my old dishwasher model number to look up the size. I say no. I tell him about my conversation and he says "Well, clearly not all dishwashers are standard". So I send the dishwasher back and call the sales guy. I tell him we want the ADA version of the model we ordered. He says ok. When he sends me the new invoice there's a nearly $300 restocking fee! I absolutely wouldn't have had to pay it had he given me correct information or done a better job! I still don't have our credit for the difference in machines' costs and this is still in resolved as they've been a bit unresponsive and what they did respond with was a credit on a future purchase. I'm so disappointed because I thought I'd finally found a place to get my high end appliances.
