Bill Willigerod's caliber of fostering genuine Client relationships, creating a solid vision, and delivering a quality project is definitely worth 5 stars. With over 4 decades of experience, his scope of services, involvement with the administration and construction process completes design projects including the full range of residential/commercial projects large and small. Bill enjoys working personally with each Client and team member to provide the most comprehensive services available. Bill includes in his standard scope of services preparation of design documents, cost estimates, project development, and construction documents to insure that budget and timelines are adhered to. William Willigerod's local reputation of possessing creative vision, delivering quality projects exceeds expectations. His passion truly marks his drive to connect Clients with the Virgin Islands through a collaborative design process. Clients quickly become friends with Bill because they realize the great value that he brings to the table. I can attest to the great care he takes to balance form and function within a budget sensitive and aesthetic context. William Willigerod is the by far the best, most responsive Architect on the Island of St, John, USVI. What makes him incredibly valuable to prospective Clients is his years of island specific project experience and close relationships with jurisdictional and quality general contractors. These things together produces the greatest project experience and delivery through efficient design and construction process with the least amount of surprises. I recommend Bill because I have worked personally with him on many collaboration villa projects of various scope and complexities and have seen a fair, knowledgeable, driven and smart professional. “Steve Myrvang served as our architect from start to finish and produced a house which went far beyond our expectations. The architecture is beautiful, sited perfectly to the landscape. It enjoys many unique touches and qualities deserving of formal recognition. Further, embedded within these aesthetic qualities are the highest standards of engineering, hurricane and earthquake mitigation, air flow, energy conservation and safety. Beyond consummate architectural competency Steve is a good businessman and organizer. Part of his contractual obligation was to work with the General Contractor to ensure compliance with the design. He and his team would inspect and confirm all aspects of the work submitted by the General Contractor before I would render payment. Living at a distance, this became the mainstay of keeping the house on track and budget. He and his wife Josie are a pleasure to work with. As with any large, complicated project there were last minute changes, discovered errors and things beyond control – Covid, Supply Chain Issues, the occasional hurricane. Throughout those bumps Steve and Josie remained positive and engaged. You can’t ask for a better team. Perhaps the best testimony of Steve’s work is how all of construction crew have asked and started to bring their families by to let them see the results of their labor. I commend Myrvang Architects to you as the finest on Saint Croix.”
