Josiah Maddock Architects

We worked with Josiah on a full remodel of a run down house into a completely new family home. This was the first time we have ever undertaken a project like this. We knew this remodel would take a year or longer and we wanted to choose a reputable architect to work with us that we liked not just professionally but also as a person. We hired him for his lifelong experience working on both residential high rises and private homes throughout California. He was also one of the friendliest architects we interviewed and just as excited as we were to make our dreams come true. He guided us through all the steps from the initial designs, the permitting process, and the construction. He helped us set expectations of how fast the renovations could be completed and worked with the contractors to prioritize areas to get the house into a livable state so we could move in while we finished the remainder of the building. He was also receptive to the many changes we made along the way to various spaces in our home and adjusting materials so it fit within our budget and time. We are very happy with our home and glad we chose to work with him.

Josiah is clearly gifted when it comes to designing buildings to fit clients' dreams and the surroundings. We needed a home to accommodate our unique needs and also a challenging lot, and Josiah delivered a masterpiece. His creative solutions made our home better than we'd hoped! Not only was Josiah a total professional, but he was a joy to work with. We are thrilled with our home, and hope to work with Josiah again on future projects!
