We simply cannot say enough wonder things about office 42. When other LA deck contractors told us our hillside deck was impossible, office 42 was our last attempt to make our dream a reality. They were cost conscious, professional, hard working and a delight to work with. When the city tried to throw up road blocks the went to battle for us. The few times (very few!) we had to push back a bit on some issues we were always met with a can do attitude and a determination to make our project happen. We would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic architect!

office42 is an excellent architecture firm, which we highly recommend. We hired Ben and Stephanie to help us finish a project-gone-wrong. (This was a substantial addition/remodel, and we had the unfortunate experience of having an awful architect and contractor for the majority of the project.) By the time we hired office42, we had been moved out of our house for far longer than projected, were way over budget, and our stress levels were higher than ever. Ben and Stephanie were able to step into a very difficult situation and efficiently, creatively, and professionally help us finish the project with new contractors. In fact, they did more than just finish the project -- they made some key design modifications/suggestions that we feel are some of the highlights of our new home. Having had the opportunity to directly compare office42 to another LA-based architect, their skill and professionalism stand out in several ways. First, they have creative design ideas that are also functional and cost-effective. Second, they have strong knowledge of LA zoning and building code requirements. Finally, they are extremely professional, listen to their client’s needs, and are excellent at communicating with both the client and the contractor. Ben, Stephanie and the staff at office42 truly care about their work and their clients, and they take the time to understand the project.
