Studio VII West is a boutique Architectural and Interior Design company designing without compromise. While projects are often Residential New Builds and Remodels, we have had great success with other design projects as well, such as such as historical renovations, restaurants and wine cellars. Additionally, we have experience with home theaters/stages and a rustic barn or two. With any opportunity, be it large scale or intimate in size, design IS our passion and we welcome the opportunity on all levels. Our Principal Designer Gary Kerr, a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Architecture, first realized his passion while building and designing his own completely solar home alongside his father a fellow architect. From these fearless beginnings, while still earning his degree he simultaneously propelled himself to project manager and has enjoyed a rewarding career since. In addition to his solo projects, his experience over the past 41 years has also included the Kerr Family custom interior millwork in Aspen, Colorado. Upon teaming up with Susan Peterson a successful interior designer, together they merged their talents to create Studio VII West. With the simple intention of assisting their clients in realizing their dream space, this duo creates custom builds that are beautiful both inside and out, from roof to decor. Studio Vll West hosts a showroom in Carmel by the Sea featuring original oil paintings by artists far and wide and is open to all.
