About Us

Kerber Farms Lumber Co. is a family owned and operated sawmill located in historic Guilford, Vermont. Our business was established in 1979 and since has evolved from a single sawmill into a small co-op of sawmills offering customers a wide selection of our native hardwoods and softwoods. Our lumber is graded many times over to ensure the right product is produced for our customers. Our livelihood and promise is our lifetime guarantee.

I had nothing but trouble from day one with Clinton Kerber. I clearly stated my order no less than three times, and each time, he acted like I needed to re-state the order. All I did was order some white oak planks - nothing complicated. I never got them. I cannot begin to explain how much trouble this nut has caused me as I still do not have the lumber I need to finish my project. I could not possibly recommend this business after my experience. A simple job, and he couldn't do it.

I do remember this small request.... We thought we had White Oak lumber for this request turns out I mislabeled a pack in our inventory, then I tried to get more in from down south and our order fell through the cracks down there in result we never got any in. I do believe we recommend two other places locally you could find it Forest Products Associates in Ma and also where ever it was purchased originally. We do offer retail to the local community but we don’t have the “retail structure” like you’d find at Home Depot.... Being such a small order it sounds like that’d be a better place for you in the future.
