Stephen Day Design

I've worked with Stephen on a couple of occasions, providing him with our custom resin for him to integrate into his own beautiful furniture designs. Stephen is a top notch designer and craftsman with an excellent eye for detail. He is also extremely personable and a delight to work with. No doubt about it, Stephen Day Design is one of the best Bay Area custom cabinetry and furnishing design/fabricators.

Stephen was fantastic! We decided we wanted a live edge dining room table and found Stephen after meeting with at least one other designer, visiting showrooms with custom tables, and playing on the internet a lot. He immediately understood what we were looking to design and walked us through the whole process. We met with him multiple times, and he was very accessible via email, sending us pictures and updates. Stephen clearly knew what he was doing and made excellent suggestions throughout, although it never felt like he was pushing design ideas on us. We wanted to be a bit involved in the process, which worked great with Stephen. After going to two different lumber yards with Stephen, we selected two walnut slabs for our table. We wanted a live edge piece, with a steel trapezoid base, and Stephen totally got it. We inundated him pictures of what we liked online, and he used them to make a perfect custom table for us. When we got the final product, we were astounded – it’s like a work of art! It’s a beautiful table, and we’ve been getting compliments nonstop. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Stephen, and we whole heartedly recommend him for your design and woodworking needs!
