Our experience with H.J. Martin was top-notch. Caitlyn helped us with every aspect of our home update. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled to provide on-point recommendations based on OUR desires.
Texture and color choices can get incredibly overwhelming, but she always found a way to make it easy... or helped wean out color options that didn't work well for our home.
We replaced all of the flooring in our home (original hard floors + carpet), updated our kitchen + master bath counters (she helped us choose colors), and also added a backsplash to our kitchen.
We're not done working with Caitlyn, as I'm sure there'll be a "Phase 2" to create a custom shower in our Master.

Tori Korstad is an amazing professional to work with. She recently led a kitchen project for us. She went above and beyond throughout the entire project. Tori helped move things along with a sense of urgency. When one aspect of the project stalled, she used her vast area network to help us find someone that could move it forward. Tori also has an excellent eye and she made wise recommendations without being pushy. Tori is collaborative and very fun to work with.
HJ Martin is great too. The installation team was efficient and highly skilled. The kitchen backsplash is expertly done and we love the modern impact that it made on our home.

We are so in love with our luxury vinyl tile! HJ Martin and Son always does a fantastic job! The installer paid close attention to detail and was calm and always had a solution if a problem arose. Our design coordinator did a fantastic job going back and forth with the many questions, concerns and changes when we could make up our mind. She was patient and understanding and helped out a ton. Couldn't be happier with the turn out!

Caitlyn Van Boxtel has a great eye for design and was so helpful in putting together great options. Tilers, particularly Kaylin, Thomas, Phil and Tim were prompt, paid attention to my needs and just did a fantastic job. In addition, the guys who installed the flooring were fantastic. Our designer Amy Gerber was such an incredible help. We were going to go with a big box store and just happened upon HJ Martin. So glad we did. Amy listened to our situation....from indoor lighting to living in the woods (lots of shade), to our cabinets, and personal taste. She sent us home with several large sample pieces and helped us pick out the most beautiful floor for our home. Thank you!!!!

We worked with Madison at H.J. Martin (Green Bay) on two bathroom projects, and we couldn't be happier! She helped us pick out the perfect tile, trim, and shower doors. Madison was both patient and professional and she has a wonderful eye for design. Tag measured our shower doors and they fit perfectly. We worked with Bethany, and she did such a nice job designing what would work in each of the showers, providing us with multiple quotes on hardware options. The installers did a great job, and they left the work areas very tidy. We are very happy with the final product.

We purchased a glass shower panel and door from the Fox Cities location and could not be happier. Mary was great to work with in the showroom - very responsive to questions. We had been to the other major glass suppliers in the area but felt like Mary took the time to treat us in a personal way and show us the product and options. The measurement process and the installation went very smoothly. The installers were efficient, courteous, did a great job and cleaned up afterward. The glass panel and door are beautiful and of excellent quality and really finished off the bathroom. We would definitely recommend H.J. Martin and Son for shower doors and glass - they do more than flooring!

We worked with Amy Gmeiner at HJ Martin to select flooring and tile during our new home build with Black Diamond Builders. Black Diamond's interior designer Sandy Kruse and Amy worked effortlessly together. I really felt like they understood what I wanted and kept pulling options until I was satisfied. I was glad they were honest with me when things wouldn't work together or if I picked something they didn't think would actually give me the look I desired. Without a doubt they were the experts and I just didn't have the skills to pick out the raw materials. I absolutely love my home. Everything goes together so well. My bathroom is so beautiful and elegant. I am so thankful for the assistance I received in picking out the right carpet, tile, hardwood and backsplash.

This is my second room update working with HJ Martin. Mary in Neenah was patient and very helpful in quickly narrowing down flooring options when I got an unexpected opportunity to renovate the basement. Now that it's installed, I truly LOVE the new flooring. The vinyl planking is perfect in the room. The carpet on the stairs is so soft and cushy AND looks wonderful. The installers were very attentive to things I asked about and very focused on quality work. Overall, a great experience. And I’m thrilled that I can put my furniture back in the room finally!

After spending thousands of dollars (and a 4 hour drive) on over 3000 sq ft of special ordered flooring. They had the audacity to load the clearly damaged boxes of flooring in my trailer. I pointed it out and emailed the contact person pictures about this. They told me they would order me 5 boxes to replace (yes only 5) but they couldn’t be shipped to me, that I had to pick them up. After being in contact with them about not being able to get there soon since I live out of state, I was told that it was okay and to just let them know when we were coming so they can get the boxes from warehouse. My husband goes to pick up the 5 boxes of flooring just to be told they can’t be found and that they must have been donated or lost. I never received a phone call or email about this.
Update 4/2022: Although this process as not been pleasant, I would say I would shop here again and recommend. The company was able to replace the lost boxes of flooring. I am pleased that they did the right thing and that they were able to find a few boxes because it is now a discontinued item. Thank you HJ Martin for finding, replacing AND delivering these boxes of flooring. I appreciate you doing the right thing for a customer.

I was very pleased with the whole process of getting new carpet in our bedroom. From working with Andria in sales to the man who came and measured who was great. The installers were extremely professional starting with Joe who you can tell has a ton of experience and his apprentice Brice who had eyes behind his head watching for corners and lights not to hit as they were tearing out old carpet and bringing in roles of new carpet. We will definitely ask for them with future needs

It has been such a busy few weeks but we are so happy with the final result! The lilac purple bathroom needed an update. The tile tub surround and floor was put in by HJ Martin. I cannot thank them enough, especially Madison Schrank. Madison was amazing to work with. She helped me pick all of the tile out, design the niche, decide on shelves, color grout, you name it, she thought of it. It made the entire process feel a lot less overwhelming. I cannot thank her enough, it looks amazing!

I am very happy with how my master bedroom and bathroom turned out. Everyone I worked with at H.J. Martin was extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

I loved my tile guys - Jake and Bryce. It is clear they take pride in their work and it showed in the gorgeous tile shower and backsplash they installed.

We recommend Katie and H.J. Martin and Son 100%. Katie was so wonderful to work with! I am not the best when it comes to design and knowing what works together so when told that we needed to pick out all of these different things (flooring, paint, fireplace stone, counter tops, stain color etc...) for our spec home we purchased I was completely overwhelmed. Even though only the flooring and fireplace stone was coming from H.J. Martin Katie helped us pick everything! Even gave us her opinion on light fixtures! We had our living room, dining room, bedrooms and hallway updated, including new carpeting. We are very pleased with our new carpet and the work by HJ Martin - from Breanna in Sales, to Craig in Measuring/Estimates to the installation crew.
After shopping various places, we were pleasantly surprised HJ Martin was competitive price-wise, even when compared to the big-box hardware stores! So, the fact they are a specialty flooring store along with the expertise and professionalism of the staff we dealt with, made our decision a no-brainer.
We ripped out the old carpet ourselves. Upon our request, Craig (Estimate/Measurer) came back to check if we did everything correctly in preparation for the new carpet. He made the extra effort to show us what to do regarding the transitions.
When shopping for new flooring, don't forget to visit your local flooring specialty stores. Like us, you may be pleasantly surprised!

It has been fantastic working with HJ Martin in Neenah both when we built the house and 4 years later when I called about a shower door slanting because of the house settling. Josh did all the tile floors and his work is simply impeccable. Four years later, I called about a shower door shifting and Tag came to check out the door the very next day. He was so professional and knowledgeable. Overall, it has been great working with HJ Martin and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We worked with H.J. Martin to replace the tile our master walk-in shower. Andria was incredibly helpful with our design - she had infinitive patience with us as we changed our mind a few times. She kept us in knowing where we stood in cost and our budget. We came up with something really beautiful. Buck was our installer, and we love the work he did. My two-year old enjoyed greeting him each morning for the nearly week he was here. Buck was courteous, professional and hardworking - the end result is just as we’d hoped! We’ve gone through HJ for a few projects now, and we’ll continue to return to them because I’d their customer service, craftsmanship and selection. Thank you, H.J!

My project went great. The select of tile for this project was excellent. We worked with Lisa one of the interior designers. Lisa helped us narrow done our choices and gave us excellent advice. The price was very competitive and installation was perfect. The installer was on time and finished in the less than one day. My husband and wished we would have gone to H. J. Martin years ago.

I worked with Karen Siegrist on a personal project and she was excellent! She was professional, helpful, and friendly. She kept me in my desired budget while selecting beautiful tile that matched the 'theme' of the house. She helped me pick out color schemes to go with each room as well. The tile has been installed in our home and I am in love with every piece we picked out. I had one minor issue with the grout lines in one of the bathrooms but the company is working hard to resolve it! Otherwise, the installation job was great! I would recommend H.J. Martin and Karen for tile selection and install to any friends or family members in the future; I also wouldn't hesitate using them again for any personal jobs.

We shopped the April warehouse sale and while installation was a few months out due to their sale it was well worth the wait. The customer service, quality of installation and knowledge of their flooring was hands down the best! They installed carpet and laminent flooring in our basement on July 10, 2018. All of our flooring was installed within 2 days which met their commitment timeline.
They worked with us and answered any questions we had along the way. We would highly recommend HJ Martin for any of your flooring needs.

We cannot say enough about our recent experience with HJ Martin and Sons. The very first day that we stepped foot in the Neenah store we received the greatest customer service - super friendly, knowledge, professional and Lisa took the time to listen to what we wanted yet gave us amazing guidance and all within our budget. For months I asked questions, took a million samples home and she was patient and helpful the entire time. The outcome is beyond what we could have imagined. The Luxury Vinyl Plank and Carpet are absolutely beautiful and excellent quality. On top of the great customer service we received from everyone in the store, we were again amazed that the installers were just as professional, friendly, hard working and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything and left our house clean everyday. We cannot wait to start our next home renovation. We began remodeling our 22 year old home this past summer, and had our flooring done by H.J. Martin of Green Bay. Amy Gmeiner was very knowledgeable about products, helpful and honest about design choices, prompt with responding to any questions we had, organized and very thorough with paperwork and financial documents. I'm super particular and was overwhelmed by everything that we undertook with this project. Amy was always very patient, kind and understanding when interacting with me.
The installation crew was always on time, communicated very well, and worked with us to figure out what order was best for us to complete the rooms being done-we had a LOT of stuff to juggle! There were a few small issues that I wanted taken care of after the installation was complete, and Brian was very respectful of my attention to detail. He had a guy come back to take care of it THE NEXT DAY.
Our remodel looks GREAT and working with H.J. Martin was a pleasure! From start to finish, everyone we encountered there was professional and made us feel like our project was very important. I highly recommend their services to anyone building or remodeling.

From the time we walked into H.J. Martin until we received our final bill we could not have been more satisfied with our experience. Sarah Oliver was the first to meet us and explained in detail the differences between all of our flooring options. We chose the engineered hardwood versus any of the other options. Sarah completely explained the process of measuring and what to expect with the estimate and timing. Once the measuring and estimating process was complete, Sarah professionally ordered our flooring. The day and time of the installation was followed exactly as planned. Jonas and Andy were our installers and they were the most professional and thoughtful men when they worked in our home for the week. The explained everything as it would happen and did exactly what they said. They cleaned up everyday at the end of the day and were on time the following morning. We could not have been more impressed with their skills and talents. In the end my garage was cleaned up, swept and blown out better than my expectations. The final bill included a credit for product that was not used which I thought was awesome. Thanks again to a great company and professional group of individuals. Highly recommend H.J. Our builder provided flooring vendors to us for our new construction, however, nothing at those locations stood out to us. That is when we decided to go HJ Martin in Green Bay - what a selection!
We found exactly what we were looking for and for an amazing price! Our builder said he was going to start sending his clients to HJ Martin. We worked with Angela and she was amazing. Super patient, kind and very helpful. She worked with us until our final selections were made (which I think was past closing time) and communicated with follow ups via email or phone. She was always there to answer any questions I may have had, which when you are spending 10k+ on flooring you are going to have questions and want honest answers!
We went with the Paramount New Castle Oak 3/4" x 8" P9 Sable and the finished product is stunning. My only complaint is that little shards are peeling off the planks leaving the natural wood color exposed. Is there some touch up stain HJ Martin could send me?

We recently had HJ Martin & Son put wood flooring into our house. The amount of flooring being replaced was a large size. We worked with Mary from the Neenah office and she was great. She explained everything thoroughly and helped us achieve the look we wanted. The crew that installed the floor was top notch. We felt more comfortable knowing the installers were from HJ Martin & Son and not sub-contracted. They kept our house clean, we're very precise and all-around great. They even managed to finish the project well ahead of time by having different crews come in to assist when their other projects were completed. We could not be happier with the outcome of our floors.

My husband and I hired HJ Martin for our recent renovation project. We updated our floors, back splash and fireplace surround. The staff was simply wonderful to work with and the results are fantastic! We love, love, love our new home! Special thanks to Katie who made our experience delightful!

We went to every possible carpet retailer in the Fox Valley. The experience of shopping at HJ Martin was easily the best. We were able to find the right carpet for our home at a price that worked within our budget. Installation was great. They did it in two days which allowed us to shuffle furniture around easily. They moved the big stuff for us no problem. Plus, it looks great in our house. Highly recommend.

We worked with Mary from the Neenah store to choose flooring for our whole house, which we were remodeling. I had a specific idea in mind. Mary took so much time in helping find just the right carpeting, as well as beautiful ceramic and luxury vinyl for our hard surface areas. She has amazing sense of design and such a positive, calming style. Craig came to measure. He was very precise and took time to listen to our concerns and make sure we were all on the same page. I loved the fact that every service was itemized on the bill and we could choose what we wanted to do ourselves to keep the cost down. They also were having a great sale which made this huge project more affordable. Chris's team was with us for a week laying our beautiful flooring. They were so respectful and did an amazing job. We were extremely impressed with all aspects of HJ Martin and Son and would highly recommend them to anyone...in fact, we have done so already!

This fall my husband and I built our first home! We decided to go to HJ Martin for our flooring throughout the house. Our lucky day was meeting Katie Krause! She made our job so easy,! From the moment we stepped into the store we knew there was something different about HJ Martin. Everyone there seemed so professional. We had excellent service and everyone was so friendly. I cannot say enough about Katie and the great company HJ Martin is! We never felt overwhelmed with any our choices because it seemed like Katie knew exactly what we loved! From the start of our looking at items to the end of our entire project, HJ was great to work with. We built a new house and needed flooring, backsplash, and design ideas. They were helpful each step along the way. Originally, we had gone way over the budget and had to rethink some ideas. She was ready to give us options immediately that worked within our budget. Now that the house is complete, we love our choices and the way they all look together.
If prices, including discounts, were more available immediate.y, I would have given 5 stars. Great to work with though.

We built a new house in 2015 and had the good fortune to work with HJ Martin and Katie Krause. Katie is outstanding at what she does; she is professional, fun and has outstanding taste. She connected with the vision we had for our new home, but also respected that we had a budget. I would absolutely recommend Katie and HJ Martin. If we have projects in the future, we would go back to Katie and HJ Martin.

My wife and I have continually been impressed with all the staff at H.J. Martin and Son. It has especially been such a pleasure to work with Interior Designer Katie K. at Green Bay who has now worked with us on several home flooring projects during the last few years. She is very knowledgeable about all products, offers great ideas and suggestions, and is a wonderful person to work with. The installers are hard working and take a great deal of pride in their work. While we have purchased flooring with other companies in the past, the installers at H.J. Martin are by far the best we have seen. When an issue developed with one of the products installed, a claims person quickly worked with the manufacturer to resolve the matter to our satisfaction. H.J. Martin and Son comes highly recommended!

We worked with Katie in design at HJ on our new home construction and we couldn't have been happier with her service and their products. Not only were her design skills fantastic, she was a pleasure to work with - flexible, professional, positive and patient. HJs selections were a great fit for our style. Josh was our installer and I have to say one of the best I've ever seen. He was meticulous, professional and detailed and we've gotten a ton of compliments on his work. The HJ team made the building process a pleasure.

I recently worked with Annette Kuester on our home carpet replacement project. She came out to the home several times to view options in addition to meeting at the store's showroom. She has a great eye for color and detail and was very easy to work with. She also helped coordinate new paint wall colors as the project took on a "domino" effect! The result was spectacular as we have a wool stripe in our family room, tweed wool look on the stairway, super soft texture in the bedrooms and linear pattern in our finished basement. I would highly recommend Annette and HJ Martin for your next home redo or new construction project.

I worked with Amy Gerber from the Green Bay location. She was great - she has a very good design sense and the install was perfect. I did not have any issues with any of my tiles or carpeting. Christian did the install of my tile. I also ordered a rug. I really like how everything came together on my own. I would recommend Amy and Christian to anyone building a home.

I have had Lisa H help me in choosing tile for two backsplash projects in the past. Her expertise in narrowing down the choices and design made the project fun so I knew that I would return to have her help me with my two way fireplace. The installers always did a great job and I felt comfortable having them work in my home.

I have to say, my hardwood floors look amazing! They had almost 20 years of dirt and scratches built up, and it’s like I installed a whole new wood floor. The best part is that it only took a few hours and I barely had to move anything.
It was really easy to schedule, and when I had to reschedule the appointment less than a week before it was supposed to happen, they were very accommodating to my calendar. The day of, they showed up on time and did a great job of explaining the process as it was taking place. They also answered all of my questions and paid special attention to a couple areas that were bothering me.

We had HJMartin put in a wood floor in our condo kitchen and living room. It looks amazing. Now, we are doing two bathrooms and will use them for our shower tile and floor.

I recently purchased a home and replaced all of the flooring within it. In choosing a professional team, I had no doubts when it came to selecting H.J. Martin and Son to work with. Everything happened seamlessly from start to finish because of the professional quality and attention to detail the entire team has. Their designer Melissa was great to work with and we were able to find products that were suitable for my lifestyle. Their skilled installers were very friendly and took the time to make sure everything was completely in order when they left at the end of each day. Even at the last minute when I decided to finish another bathroom, everyone worked with me very quickly and efficiently to make a fantastic selection from their in-stock product. I am thrilled with how my install turned out and am enjoying my new flooring. I have and will continue to recommend H.J. Martin and Son to friends and family.

Over the course of the last few years I have replaced my builder grade flooring throughout our entire home with upgraded flooring materials from HJ Martin & Son. From the measure until the end, it was nothing but a pleasurable experience. We worked with Annette in the showroom, who was very patient with us. It took us almost a year to make our decision and get ready for the project since I was dreading the mess and disruption in our home. But their expert installers made the process much less painful than I expected. They even sent a second crew so that we could get our house back in order as quickly as we hoped. The attention to detail with the layout, cleanliness in our home, molding removal and overall care and pride they took in getting our job done was wonderful. And I have been told I am not an easy person to please! I would not hesitate to recommend HJ Martin to anyone for their flooring needs.

I live in Appleton, Wisconsin and have used H.J. Martin & Son in Neenah twice for bathroom remodeling in my home. Their flooring is top of the line, but what I really appreciated was the amazing service from the installers who spent many days in my home with my last project. They were highly knowledgeable about my project, perfectionists with their installation, and meticulous and respectful of my home, which we were living in during the three-week master bathroom renovation. Several months later when we had walls that settled and created some cracks in the grout, they quickly returned and touched up the problem areas. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction makes all the difference to me!

I've worked with Annette on several home projects over the last few years. Everything from start to finish was wonderful. If any questions or concerns came up, Annette was on it like lightning. Also would like to acknowledge Ben who did the tile work. Overall, I had bathroom floors, shower and a tub surround re-done. A bit pricey but felt it was a very good investment. Very pleased. We purchased engineered flooring at the HJ Martin spring warehouse sale. Generally, these type of sales are disappointing - very crowed, out dated merchandise, etc. This sale was fantastic. There was more than enough sales people and we had one person who helped us out for about 1/2 hour. We walked out of the warehouse with beautiful flooring and all of the additional supplied we needed, at great prices. I will go back next year for bathroom tile as the selection and prices are great. I recommend that anyone who needs carpeting for a smaller room to wait for this sale.

I recently worked with Katie and the staff at HJ Martin to renovate a small living space in my home. The carpeting was old, worn, and demolished due to a fiesty 13 month old puppy! I was looking for a fresh, clean, inviting space when you walk in my front door, and that's exactly what I got! Katie took much time (even after I changed my mind twice!) to make sure that my options met my request. The new carpeting looks incredible! Their installer was professional, timely, and did a very high quality job on the install. I even got the "puppy pad" installed so my dog doesn't think he's outside on the front grass! Thank you Katie and team for an AWESOME new room! I love it!

My husband and I hired HJ Martin to put flooring in our newly remodeled basement as well two bedrooms. We worked with a wonderful designer, Melissa, who was very helpful and gave us great ideas while sorting through the many options. Melissa was very patient with us and very talented at what she does! On top of that everyone who came to our home, Craig (to measure), and Brian and Jim (the installers) were fabulous. Very courteous and they really cared about the work they were doing.
