“We did a thorough research of different companies to build our deck. We are so happy we went with Techwood decks. They were quick, detailed, and they were so easy to work with. The experience with them was exemplary. Would definitely work with them in the future if we need any other work done.”

“Paulo Sergio and his crew were both highly professional and fun to work with. They were always prompt, and delivered the agreed upon results. For the amount I had been quoted for a plain concret driveway and walkway and stairs, Paulo installed beautiful pavers. Paulo spent time with us figuring out exactly which pavers would go with our existing gravel and general aesthetic, what to do about stair railings, and more.. Many issues come up during a project, and decision- making is not always easy. It was always a pleasure to talk things over with Paulo and come up with best solutions. The main example of this was the job -that we needed to replace a driveway and walkway and stairs leading to the front door. Because of grading issues, this was complicated. Paulo and his crew somehow managed to grade the walkway and driveway so that my three front stairs (no porch or landing) became a small porch. My walkway and driveway now look like a dining patio I can step onto from my new front porch. I have received many complements on the remodel. It’s truly beautiful, and now reflects the aesthetic of the front yard.”

Cal Preserving Inc

“The best measure of the quality of a business is how they respond when the going is tough. Cal Preserving comes through with shining colors. They stand behind their work and are pleasant about it. I originally had Cal Preserving finish my deck in 2014 when it was brand new. Then last year (in the midst of the pandemic), I had it refinished. Unfortunately there was miscommunication about whether sanding would be needed or not. We didn't sand and I wasn't happy with the result. But here's the good part: Cal preserving owned the communication confusion and redid the deck for me. This time they sanded, and my deck looks brand new. The team was fantastic (Jose, Oswaldo, Leo) and even remembered doing the original work in 2014. They really approach their work as true craftsmen. They are helpful, communicative, pleasant, respectful of property, neat, efficient and do fabulous work. I am very pleased with the result. It's easy to find someone who will refinish a deck....but there is a HUGE range of quality out there. Some are cheaper than Cal Preserving, but you will not get the value and the beautiful outcome from most others. They are top notch and will be the only team refinishing my deck going forward. Well done!”
