We are totally pleased and satisfied with A1 Roofing! First, they called us back right away (unlike others). It was a fairly complex job with new roof, skylight, trim boards, gutters, shutters, etc. on a semi-historic home in Newport. Sean came out and looked over the house and explained the many options to us of how the job could be done, and then quickly came back with a detailed estimate. The job was done quickly and professionally (the roof in one day!), and they cleaned up after each stage, working with us so that there was minimum disruption for our tenant and the neighbors. All the workers were careful and expert, and they had a great attitude, which was very nice. The house looks beautiful! We’ve had many wonderful comments from everyone, and no leaks! Any issues we had were taken care of quickly, and there was good communication from them the whole time. The whole experience of working with A1 has been excellent!

For years I had heard good things about A1 Roofing and recently I finally had a sizable home improvement project: a new roof. I called and Sean was at my home the next day to give me a quote. Sally, in the A1 office, answered all my questions, and foreman, Steve, was on-site (even early!) the day of my job. Working with A1 was the easiest home improvement experience I have had in Newport in over 20 years! Finally, I have a company to call when I need help. I had always thought of A1 as only roofing, not true, they do construction projects all over Aquidneck Island. What a difference a professional company (one that respects the clients time and money) can make on a big project!

We hired A-1 Roofing and Construction to replace our entire roof this summer. After a harsh Rhode Island winter, we had roof leaks and damage caused by ice dams. We obtained several quotes from other companies before we picked this company. The owner (Sean) immediately responded to our request for an estimate and came to our house the same day. We do not have a traditional roof line and Sean was able to provide solutions to prevent ice dams in the future. He was the only person/company who actually got up on a ladder to look at the roof. We immediately felt comfortable with him and picked his company to do the roof. We are very happy we did. The crew was very professional and did a great job. I highly recommend this company.

I first contacted A-1 Roofing because the company was local to Middletown RI. I have used the company several times for different jobs (roofing, cedar shingle siding and installation of replacement windows). Each time, the work was completed with quality workmanship and on-time. I will use this company in the future for remodeling projects.

When hurricane Sandy hit my Newport roof hard, I called A-1 after hearing a lot of good reviews from around town. I am so glad I did! Sean Napolitano is easy to get a hold of, and was such a help when dealing with the Insurance company- providing me with quick estimates and substantiating expenses in the way that the insurance co. needed me to- , and his team of professionals came out quick to get the work done. I was sure it would take longer, considering the wide spread damage around the area, but the A-1 team made me feel like a priority. They did a great job of cleaning up, as well, and I found the whole process of getting a new roof pretty stress-free. What more can you ask for?

A-1 delivers on their promises! They are extremely professional, timely and stand behind their estimates and their work. I worked with them to replace my roof and gutters and do some other maintenance items. They were quick and the work was top notch. I hired A-1 Roofing and Construction to install wainscoting, a wrap around bannister and trim on my stairway. They also installed some hardware in my bathroom. The work on my stairway turned out beautifully and they were able to do it quickly. They also did the hardware installation for me although it was a very small job that most contractors would not want to bother with. I have used Sean and his crew in the past and have never been disappointed, The work is quality and the place is left spotless. I would highly recommend them.

After competitive bidding and review of prior work, hired Sean A-1 for re-siding of cedar shingle home, including porches, copper gutters. Quality of work was excellent - carpentry exceeded all expectations. Sean was responsive to questions, very straight ahead and honest. When rot was encountered he sent pictures so I could see it and his recommendations of what to do. Came in exactly on budget. Neighbors remarked how pleasant the workers were, demolition contained and cleaned up immediately. Excellent quality work, real craftsmen, honest, long term quality solutions, responsive and helpful.

A-1 replaced my old slate roof, replaced eleven windows, and the back storm door. The estimates were spot on, the cost reasonable, and the workmanship excellent. The A-1 crew is very professional, respectful, and even came on a Saturday morning to make sure the work was finished. It was a remarkably easy experience for me as a woman on my own., Everything was done quickly and the clean up was even great. I've recommended them several times. And I would hire them again should I ever need any more work.
