My family and I recently purchased a 20-year-old brick house in a terrific community. The 4 bed/4.5 bath three-level house had good bones but needed updating. Our real-estate agent (Matthew Schwartzhoff, who is great), recommended that we meet with David Crabtree to discuss our project. David worked for a large-scale firm building million-dollar homes long before starting his own firm. My wife and I selected David after meeting with him and several other contractors. By every measure, David demonstrated that he was the most knowledgeable about how to manage such a large project. His bid was not the lowest, but it was fair and reasonable, and he was the most transparent and honest about what was required to accomplish our goals. I'm an attorney. David's standard contract was clear and fair. The clarifications that I presented to David were well received and included in the agreement. Our budget was in the low six figures. We fully renovated all the bathrooms, updated the kitchen, all the flooring and staircases were redone, we changed all the lighting fixtures, painted every inch of the interior, custom closets, and some brickwork on the exterior. David did an outstanding job managing all of his tradesmen and procuring all of the materials needed to complete the entire job. David's tradesmen are amazing! David is somewhat obsessive about getting things done right. We were grateful for his obsessive nature. We wanted someone hyper-focused on getting things done correctly within our timeframe and our budget. When problems arose that were within his responsibility, David promptly fixed them. When my wife and I neglected to address something that we were responsible for, David worked with us on a solution. My wife and I initiated several change orders to expand on our wish list. David was always very accommodating. In the end, my family is enjoying a wonderful home. David maintained our trust throughout the process. We are truly grateful for his expertise, diligence, work-ethic, and his honesty. I highly recommend David and Crabtree Remodeling without any reservations.

We recently used Crabtree Remodeling for a main level kitchen (and hardwood floor) remodel and a basement remodel. They were able to reuse my old kitchen cabinets to create a basement kitchen. The old cabinets look like new. They rearranged the basement walls to make a bedroom, bath, living room, closet and sitting area. The main level kitchen was gutted and replaced with all new custom cabinets. Floors and painting were also done on both levels. David gave us weekly updates and was always prompt in replying to any questions we had. He was honest and accommodating. We are very pleased with the outcome and highly recommend him.

David is a great contractor providing quality management and workmanship at a fair price. He was able to organize the schedule of subcontractors in a fashion so as to limit the disruption of our home. He remodeled four bathrooms including flooring, cabinets, and tubs. We highly recommend David!

We had a great experience with Crabtree Remodeling throughout a major interior renovation in 2022. David guided us through the process that was entirely new to us. He and his subs all showed up when they were scheduled. His pricing was fair and we were quickly able to agree on a number of change orders during the renovation. We just had our master bathroom remodeled by Crabtree Remodeling LLC and it looks fantastic. It went from 1988 to 2022 and I feel like i am at posh resort every day. Can't recommend Crabtree Remodeling highly enough! After interviewing several contractors, I met with David to discuss my potential remodel: replacing the hardwood floors in my 1933 cottage, relocating my kitchen from one room to another, demoing the existing kitchen, opening up a wall, and turning the former kitchen into an office and bedroom. Not only did he immediately understand what I was trying to accomplish, he was genuinely excited about my arguably zany idea. After receiving quotes from a few contractors, I found David's to be both reasonable and by far the most detailed and thorough. He accounted for literally everything (which made my type A heart sing). After two CAD mockups, he had nailed my vision and we were off to the races. Throughout the project he provided me with updates regularly and did an excellent job of maintaining the cost and scope of the work. I had just finished a "pop the top" upstairs renovation the year prior, so I have some basis for comparison. David's attention to detail, customer service, and professionalism is exceptional. What about the finished product, you ask? It's simply beautiful. I have my dream kitchen and I've maximized the space in my little house. If you are slightly obsessed with your home and want someone who will treat it like their own - someone who will keep you posted every step of the way and who takes the utmost care and pride is his work - David with Crabtree Remodeling is, hands down, your guy.

David and his team just remodeled a Jack and Jill bathroom. They did a terrific job from the tile, glass shower doors, new cabinets, replaced old lighting and exhaust fans. I also had a custom desk built can replaced laundry room floor, ceiling lights with canned lights and repainted the existing cabinets. All of his subcontractors were terrific- from electrical, cabinetry, countertops, shower doors, tile work, etc. His head manager John was great to work with throughout this project. I will definitely use him again when the time comes for another project.

David and Crabtree Remodeling recently completed a fairly significant remodeling of our upstairs which included a complete makeover of the master bathroom and closet, as well as upgrades to the master bedroom and hall walkway. We are pleased with the final results and as well that it came in on budget. David does an exceptional job of communicating, whether it be when sub-contractors are scheduled to be onsite or answering our email or text questions in unusually quick turnaround times. This is the first major remodeling project we have undertaken and are happy we decided to do it. Thanks David

Crabtree Remodeling recently remodeled our kitchen and laundry room and we are so pleased with the results. We also included refinishing and adding hardwood flooring and stairs, painting the main floor, and a couple of other small projects. David was always very responsive and on-site most of the time throughout the project. We feel he did a great job of planning and overseeing the projects to make our deadline~ even when we threw in painting the entire main floor! While there are always a few bumps in the road on any big project, David and his team made sure that all our concerns were addressed and that the final product was what we wanted. When the expected few small things were left at the end, David was on top of them to make sure the finish was complete. We are so thrilled with our new kitchen, laundry room, and main floor and have already recommend Crabtree Remodeling to our friends and neighbors.

I have built homes before but have never done a remodel. I purchased a 4 year old home and knew I wanted to remodel kitchen and great room as well as enclose a deck. David gave a timeline of when each task would be done, and project was finished on time. I gave him my ideas for color, selection, etc and he helped me create my vision. David was very detail oriented and pointed out issues that would have been overlooked. He had a wonderful supplier for countertop options, and I found the perfect marble for kitchen countertops/backsplash. My kitchen is exactly what I envisioned. The gray/blue paint color and added trim to the bookcases along with new fireplace surround changed the look of the great room completely. Unexpectedly, what turned out to be my most favorite part of the project was the deck that was enclosed with a fireplace and big screen tv. It has given privacy to the home’s outdoor area and feels like an added room. I spend so much time there now. Love the finished home!
