From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, Christina and Shawn exceeded all my expectations. They not only incorporate my ideas, but also offered suggestions that made my house more functional, modern and high-end. What truly amazed me was the design tools and technologies they use. The renders, scans, and floor plans they created were not just accurate but super detailed, allowing me to visualize every aspect of the project before saying "go." I also loved that when they suggest materials, fixtures and products, they give you multiple options and different price points so you can decide where to save and where to spend. Throughout the entire process, Christina and Shawn demonstrated a level of professionalism and expertise that instilled complete confidence in their work. Dacotah Studio made our first home our dream home. We needed to rethink the kitchen and bathrooms—and Shawn and Christina took us to the next level, helping us reimagine and improve the entire flow, functionality, and style of the space. They were involved with every detail, from layout, to design renders, to selecting tile and light fixtures. We renovated before moving to Los Angeles, which meant that we placed all of our trust in the project management and on-the-ground design advice of Shawn and Tina. They recommended a GC and a woodworker, and managed the relationships to ensure that communication and execution was seamless and near-constant. We had a wonderful experience with the entire team, and found ourselves missing the crew once the project was complete. Renovations can be stressful, and Shawn and Tina made it a fun and rewarding experience. Every day, we enjoy the beautiful design decisions they helped us make. We couldn’t have done it without them, and highly recommend them for anyone looking for a true partner in their home project.

Tina and Shawn are wonderful to work with - from initial concept to shopping for special items to arranging our pictures, they made our vision a reality. We had a four bedroom house to completely furnish from top to bottom and Tina and Shawn were with us every step of the way, helping us select paint colors, window treatments, and furniture, along with making key renovation decisions. They did a terrific job giving us a selection of options for furniture, lighting and rugs, managing the purchasing of each piece and tracking each item as it made its ways to us. We also really appreciated the extended team that Dacotah Studio has established - painters, carpenters, and electricians who they work with regularly and are the best in their field. Together, the whole team took excellent care of our 100+ year old house, respecting it's history but also updating it so that it was functional and fun for our family. Tina and Shawn helped remodel our new house purchase before we moved in. We have two kids and wanted to reimagine the kitchen, shared jack and jill bathroom, and hallway closets. We gave them a blank slate to redo the floor plan and utilities, and they came up with a great plan that doubled our kitchen storage space, doubled the shared bathroom area, opened up the kitchen to the dining room, and added a coffee bar area in the dining room. We would not have been able to imagine this layout without their help. Aside from the floor plan, we gave Dacotah some pinterest boards and they came back with a couple of different design directions with color and material options. After going back and forth a few times we arrived at something we liked, and they even helped mediate differences of opinion between us, and gave the right amount of pushback when we asked for some ill-advised design choices. They went above and beyond to help with revisions as we changed our minds along the way, even though the initial proposal only specified a couple of revisions. For example, when we received sample materials they helped us lay them out together in the house, and were accommodating when we decided to change direction after seeing things in person. Being able to hold materials was crucial in making sure we were happy with the end product - it's not something you can visualize in renders alone. They even worked with us when we decided to change the bathroom tile the day before it was going to be installed. Dacotah was immensely helpful in selecting vendors for us so that we didn't need to search. They had a trusted GC as well as cabinet maker and structural engineer lined up - all of which produced high-quality results, even if there were some delays. They also coordinated between our GC and the vendors, and they conducted weekly site visits to make sure our project was on track and the vision was realized. They were responsive over email and text, responding within the day, something that's important with a high-stress situation like a remodel. When we wanted to increase the distance between the stove and island, they made it happen coordinating with the GC and cabinet maker. Overall, we're incredibly happy with the end product and would highly recommend Dacotah Studio. Aside from their work, Shawn and Tina were so nice and pleasant to work with and we'd do it again!

We worked with Shawn and Christina for a huge home renovation project that involved taking a 3 bed, 2 bath 2,000 sq ft Silverlake home down to the studs and rebuilding it back into something entirely different from the condition it was purchased in. It was our first renovation project and a huge investment for us so it was really important to have the right partner that brought an equal mix of design inspiration, project management and above all, lots of patience! Shawn and Christina bought all of this and more. From the very beginning Shawn and Christina were amazing partners, taking our crazy long inspiration deck and turning into a coherent design vision. They were in lock step with us every step of the way, designing the layout, creating the plans with the help of a draftsman, helping us to choose GCs, designing the lighting plan, selecting and sourcing materials from tiles to light fixtures. You name it, they did it. We opted to enlist them to not just design but project manage the process in partnership with our GC. They were worth their weight in gold in this respect, visiting the site every week and sometimes even more often. They helped catch a million small things that could have gone wrong and set them right, often finding a solution before we even heard that there was a problem. We really felt they went above and beyond, often picking up the slack for other professionals without being asked and without hitting us with surprise bills. They worked especially well with our GC, who was also excellent, and I’m glad to say they have gone on to work together on many other projects with other Clients, some of which were friends we referred to this dream team. We were so grateful we found them and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a talented, kind, patient and loving team to work with!

Working with Shawn and Tina was an absolute delight. We truly could not have asked for a more inspiring design team. Whenever we shared a vision, they immediately understood and translated it. They shared gorgeous, unique pieces that creatively worked together and culminated in a vibrant, exquisite design. In addition, they substantially transformed spaces in our home, working with vendors and contractors in the process. We had major damage done to our home from several broken pipes. Our home is 4 half levels sitting on the side of a hill and the damage went from the top floor down to the bottom level. We had no idea what to do or how to replace everything as we were not looking or thinking about remodeling at this time. One entire level of white oak flooring needed to be replaced, also all of the carpeting on the three other levels and stairs needed to be replaced as well. Of course the walls needed to be repainted too. One of the main bathrooms was where it all started and we needed to rip everything out and start over. New tub, tile, flooring, lighting and a ton of plumbing. Also a couch and chair/ottoman were ruined as well. Dacotah Studio helped us with everything. Offering a wide selection of tile, wall colors, lighting fixtures, glass shower doors and they even took us shopping for new carpeting and fabric to recover our furniture. All was done with professional, skilled and friendly workers. We couldn't be happier with the final results.

Guided us through the process of updating our 100+ year old Craftsman as well as adding an ADU with a similar aesthetic. They have a very strong sense of design, from materials to colors to finishes, and took a lot of the guesswork out of considering each room. More importantly, we were able to tap into their network of contractors and specialists to make sure the work was done right. Would definitely recommend them to others.

We worked with Dacotah after buying a new home that had great bones but needed some major updates to several aspects. Shawn and Tina provided invaluable design and project management on renovating a master bathroom, building out a rear deck, and other assorted jobs. We were in dire straits from a previous designer until we found Dacotah Studio. Shawn responded immediately to our request and within days came to see the space and discussed options. He was extremely kind and professional though the duration of our project where we had built-in custom shelves and desks. He kept his finger on the pulse of our project and we felt taken care of, even having Shawn show up and help the carpenter in building. Highly recommended for a large company product, but with benefits of a small business customer service.

We needed a LARGE statement conference table for our brand new office. Something custom with a "Wow" factor that could seat at least 16 people. We worked with Dacotah Studio and they delivered beyond expectations. Not really knowing what we wanted, we gave them some inspiration images and details around how we would use the table. They held our hand through the design process and their fabricators were top notch. The table is absolutely stunning and it was done on time and on budget. It has all the functionality of a conference table (plugs, data, TV hook ups) with all the style of a high end custom table. The entire team, including the delivery/install guys were a pleasure to work with, professional, and efficient. I really can't say enough great things about Dacotah Studio.

The husband and wife duo contacted me about a cabinet project and wanted to see if it was something we would get on board after meeting with then and and getting a sense of the vision they had for the space it was a no brainer. They are both very knowledgeable and know what the finish product should look, feel and operate like which as a cabinet maker is a great thing. Needless to say this project was ran smooth and it looked amazing. It was an absolute pleasurer to work them.
