JP Compass exceeded our expectations with its “Open and Honest” renovation of our kitchen/sunroom and master bath. Choosing a builder/designer was daunting, as trust is paramount, including as to budget, execution, and aesthetic. The JP Compass team exceeded expections in every respect, with superior communications, precise planning and scheduling, great follow up, and a spectacular result that thrills us daily. We had a great experience with JP Compass from the design phase to completion of our project. The architect and design team at JP Compass created a beautiful blueprint for our kitchen, bathroom, office, and laundry room remodel. It works seamlessly with our existing home. Our onsite construction manager who oversaw the entire project and the daily construction was extremely professional and made living through the process as easy as possible. The sub contractors were top notch, respectful, and timely with their work. From beginning to end, we knew exactly what was happening each day and how the project was progressing. Even more importantly, the project was completed timely as promised and within the projected budget. JP Compass was professional at every turn and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them!

We interviewed several contractors before deciding on JP Compass to perform our first major remodeling project. A close friend of ours had worked with them previously and highly recommended them. After meeting with John and his sons (it's a family business) we ultimately decided to go with JP based on their upfront explanations with regard to project cost, deadlines and personnel. Their commitment to precision and detail is evident from the beginning. As an added bonus, they are genuinely nice people with great interpersonal skills (which is important as you will spend a lot of time with your team!) The scope of the work included: - A one room second story addition (new master bedroom) built over an existing first floor sunroom - Completely renovating two upstairs bathrooms and adding a third new bathroom - Custom cabinetry for multiple bathrooms - Refinishing existing hardwood flooring and adding new hardwood flooring - Moving several closets and doorways - Replacing all upstairs windows and many downstairs windows - Replacing all upstairs doors, trimwork, lighting, adding crown molding throughout - Renovating a downstairs half bathroom (a late addition to the project by our choosing) After signing the initial contract, we worked extensively with Joseph (the architect) and James (the interior designer) during the planning phase over the next few months. Their suggestions led to a much better layout than I had originally proposed. They presented us several options which we used to then refine the design further over time. The 3D renderings were extremely helpful with regard to visualizing the possible configurations of the new layout. Impressively, the final product was nearly identical to the virtual images that we had been presented. The construction schedule followed very closely the original timeline that was presented. Our project supervisor, Oliver, was very accessible and accommodating and worked hard to make sure that the project stayed on time and on budget. The planned duration was approximately 3.5 months -- the work was done almost exactly on time, save for a slight delay with our shower glass it would have even been done ahead of schedule. The project also came in almost exactly on budget -- the only major unexpected expense was related to a specific clause in our home improvement loan which required a more expensive siding material for the exterior than we would have otherwise chosen. Everything else was exactly as discussed -- in a few cases the cost was actually reduced on certain parts of the project when the work ended up being less than expected. JP and his team stand by their work -- they provide a 1 year warranty which served us well as there are always some minor issues that you will not discover until later with any project (e.g. our master toilet had a very slow leak causing it to run periodically -- they came back and replaced the toilet at no cost. Also, as the seasons and humidity changed some of the molding/caulking begin to contract causing small cosmetic cracks in the trim paint -- they came back and re-caulked/re-painted all of the seams so it looks perfect again). In the end, we would choose them again in a heartbeat if we had to do it all over. After hearing some horror stories from friends/colleagues about bad contractor experiences, I know we made the right choice. We will be returning to them for future downstairs renovation work in a few years and we couldn't be happier with the final result.

JP Compass proved to be an outstanding partner from the design phase to build out. They are transparent and thoughtful. Timelines were met and any issues that developed were collaboratively addressed. The subcontractors are craftsman who care about the finished product.

I have already recommended this team to several people. They did an excellent job. Our kitchen was an entire gut job and they did their best in accommodating us so it was not too inconvenient. The work was done exactly to their agreed to schedule. The craftsmen were excellent and kind. Everything came out as anticipated, even exceeding my expectations. All concerns were addressed immediately. The work environment was left clean and tidy each day.

JP Compass built my home and I still can’t believe the incredible level of professionalism and transparency that exists within this company. Add to it the kindness and integrity of the entire Park family, and you truly have the ideal home building or remodeling team. I can’t recommend them highly enough! JP Compass made any anxiety we had about building our first floor master suite totally unnecessary. From beginning to end the process was seamless. The finished product is sheer perfection. We were thoroughly impressed with every sub contractor. At the end of each day the house was immaculate. I can’t compliment Jason our project manager enough. He was thoughtful and considerate of all of our needs. He patiently solved all of our problems. Even now after the project is complete he is helpful and consistently available. John Park and the entire JP Compass team are fantastic and the results are incredible! Our kitchen was completed 18 months ago and l still smile when I walk in every day. And it not just our family who loves it. We have hosted several events since and enjoyed hundreds of accolades from our guests. It was a massive construction project that’s not fun to live though, yet I had a lot of fun seeing it through with the team. JP Compass was the first experience we had with contractors and I can't recommend them enough. My project manager Rob was very patient and helpful with walking us through the process and explaining things over and over. We were very pleased with all the work that JP Compass did on our house. We also changed our minds on a few things and they weren't frustrated or annoyed but worked with us to ensure that we were pleased. Rob kept us updated weekly on the progress and we also were happy that we did not have to endure any delays as the work was conducted in a timely manner and as expected. Everyone from John Park to the electricians they hired were very friendly and respectful. I cannot recommend them enough. If you don't want to deal with stress and want a smooth, reliable contractor then I highly recommend John and his team.

JP Compass delivers high quality work with outstanding service. From start to finish of our kitchen and powder room renovation, John and his team of skilled craftsmen provided incredible attention to detail as they executed the architectural plans. The level of professionalism and commitment to excellence surpassed my very high expectations. Throughout the project, the project manager, took great care to insure that not only the work was getting done properly, but that our family was as comfortable as we could be.
