I was looking forward to working with Kimber and Elizabeth Janney but was confused when I was presented with an erroneous estimate via email. There were never any renderings made to help justify the estimate. Kiva has a reputation for doing beautiful work, but I was saddened in the way my proposal was handled.

I was very surprised to read this. After I sent the estimate, you responded: "The numbers are very close to what I had expected."
This estimate was not erroneous, but it was preliminary. We cannot provide accurate and comprehensive estimates without plans. We do not always provide drawings before we have a contract for the design work.
I like to provide some preliminary sketches for prospective customers to help communicate design ideas. In this case when I communicated that I would be to busy to produce sketches for some time, you responded that you had decided to hire someone else.
I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. We are a Construction company and we do have to give priority to jobs that are under construction and meet our obligations to clients who have already contracted with us for design services.
